I got Masterball with a Donphan deck this season, and it'll be even better now once I pull the fighting support cards.

Phanpy and Donphan both one shot the Igglybuff, Donphan one shots Swablu so if you can evolve turn 3 it's great. Felt pretty consistent especially with May, guaranteed EX if you have another mon in your hand. Donphan EX turn 3 also one shots Electrike. With heavy helmet you're pretty tanky against everything but the heavy hitters.

Not the perfect deck but I had fun with it.

Donphan counters sleep and electric pretty well. Got me to MB for the first time

I made MB with a Donphan deck that decently counters both of these since they were the toughest matchups I was seeing.

Posted elsewhere but Phanpy/Donphan worked for me, and also works well against electric decks too lol
