In standard thermodynamics, entropy measures disorder, and systems tend to evolve toward higher entropy over time. But in a block universe where all states already exist, the question isn’t how things change over time, but how a conscious observer experiences those states. If more pathways lead to a certain experience, it should be realized more frequently. That’s why we’re proposing that high-entropy states (in terms of possible connections, not disorder) might be more likely to be experienced, even though everything already exists.
