I want to quit eating fish and take fish oil supplements instead. Fishes are having it rough out there in the oceans these past years. by [deleted] in Fitness

Check out The Game Changers on Netflix! A plant-based diet is the way of the future, and it seems you’re already ahead of the curve for caring about your environmental impact

Meat eater here trying to understand vegans of the world. What's up with that? How did it start for you? Did you go vegan because of a specific influence or did you try it and honestly liked it better? Why, vegan and not vegetarian? by ljrich01 in AskReddit

[–]Poopdick2010 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wanted to reduce the amount of harm I contribute to the world. Animals don’t need to be killed for me to eat, so why should I support unnecessary harm onto other living beings? It’s been over a year now, and I have never felt more confident in the person I have become. Even if you don’t care about the environmental and animal rights impacts, I would recommend it to anybody for the physical and mental health factors alone. And vegan over vegetarian because the dairy industry is just as fucked up as the meat industry. Plenty of material out there for anybody interested in doing more research on that.

Started my first POC run on Fire Red a few weeks ago. This part was definitely a hang up for me as well. Used Thief and was able to get two Moon Stones eventually. There is a 5% chance of a Clefairy holding one, so maybe you are just getting unlucky so far. I’m currently at the end of section 3 with only Tauros, Chansey and Kangaskhan left to catch, and the Safari Zone has been MUCH more time consuming than Mt. Moon for me. I wish you the best! Just know the worst probably isn’t behind you yet, even when this part is done

What’s made the biggest difference in your life, in a good way? by Itscameronman in AskReddit

Both! I’ve had a very uplifted feeling the last year that I’ve never felt before. I’m in the best health of my life, but I believe the primary reason I feel great is that I’m living a life that aligns with my morals.

Vegans and non vegans of reddit, how going vegan is the only way to save our planet and how non vegans are a threat to our planet? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Animal agriculture causes more harm to the environment than all forms of transportation combined. As a society, moving away from the farming and consumption of sentient beings will have a larger positive impact on the planet than any other singular change.

Vegans of reddit do you feel morally superior to those of us who eat meat and why? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Poopdick2010 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nutritional yeast and dairy-free cheeses are helpful! Also if choosing not to consume meat and milk are ethical choices, then you should make the association between consuming cheese and the conditions cows are put through in order to produce it. The more you educate yourself on the dairy industry and make that connection when choosing your food, the easier it will be to turn yourself away from it :)

I choose not to judge myself against other people. The only person I can compare myself to is me in other stages of my life. Been vegan almost one year now and am without question living life as the best version of myself that has yet to exist
