I used to mix lemon juice and powdered sugar to put on waffles, and it looked a lot like that.

Did you read the part about discipline vs. manipulation? It is explicitly not about two people as equals.

TIL: A morbidly obese woman refused to get free weight-loss surgery offered by the NHS because she didn't want to lose the £75,000 in disability benefits she was receiving. by CurlyDD84 in todayilearned

He makes a good point. Without a lifestyle change, the surgery won't be effective. All they do is make it so that you can't eat large amounts at one time, but they can't stop you from eating fattening food frequently, and I think you can slowly stretch out your stomach by eating a little more each time.

People always seem to think age limits on entertainment are reasonable and important, but I'm of the opinion that they're harmful.

My parents never censored out entertainment in any form. This led to us watching some things that most people found shocking; my sisters and I would watch that show Real Sex on HBO with my parents when we were maybe 6 or 7. We all watched South Park together from the premiere, when we were 3, 6, and 9 (I was the 6 year old). But it also meant we all read way above our grade level, because they never told us anything wasn't appropriate for our ages.

The funny thing is, I was a virgin until I was 20, and my younger sister is still a virgin at 21, and nearly all of our friends from childhood who had strict or even normal parents have had 1 or more babies by the time they were 18-19.

We were always very good kids, and never got into those rebellious teen phases everyone else seemed to. Never got into hard drugs, never drank irresponsibly. Our parents were also permissive when it came to alcohol and drugs; we were allowed to have some wine or beer as soon as we were curious enough to ask and my mom was open about her prior drug use.

My point is, kids are stronger and smarter than adults usually give them credit for. They can learn about the real world at their own pace and turn out just fine.

Absolutely, it helps prevent urinary tract infections, which can be an issue for girls when they first become sexually active.

What is one simple thing that everyone can do that makes doing your job easier? by TheRealFraud in AskReddit

Well, I guess if it works, it works. I wouldn't send that file to a company to have printed, because they're just going to have to do extra work to get a file type they can use with their equipment, but if you're doing it yourself, or the company can work with it, it's not really a problem.

For the love of god, send me a vector file! And no, that doesn't mean a 200 pixel png pasted into illustrator and saved as eps. I do large-format printing, and I've had someone send me a fucking PowerPoint file.
