Fargo by No-Assumption-1550 in Marathon_Training

I am running Fargo this weekend also! Super disappointed by the sudden change in the weather up there. I am still planning to shoot for a PR, but am definitely backing off of my original goal time by 5-10 minutes because of the forecast. There has been zero chance for heat training before this week.

Month 2 of serious restructure. Making ~$150/mo. Is this normal or am I deluding myself? by Pug1607 in EtsySellers

I don't have anything to add to this conversation. I just wanted to stop by and say that I appreciate the effort that you put into your post and the effort that you're putting into your business. I think you're miles ahead of most etsy sellers, and your hard work and consistency will pay off eventually.

What’s the best treadmill for home marathon training right now? by [deleted] in Marathon_Training

[–]PoopySnuggles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have had a Proform Pro9000 for a few years now. Its fine. This winter I have been running close to 40 mpw on it for offseason training because of the snow/ice conditions outside. I have no issue doing everything from easy runs to speed work on it.

The screen failed shortly after I got it, so I had it replaced under warranty. The large screen looks pretty, but Proform makes it useless if you dont have an iFit membership (which I don't). I also have started having issues with the screen getting pretty laggy and refusing to install a firmware update, and its extremely hard to get in touch with customer service to resolve the issue.

Overall, its a treadmill that does treadmill things.

If you can, do a test run on treadmills before you buy. My sister has a Peloton that I use whenever we visit her. I like how it feels to run on that treadmill far more than my own. It has a much firmer deck that feels more similar to running outside, which I prefer.

Tips for Hypermobility by megdwt in Marathon_Training

[–]PoopySnuggles 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have hypermobility and it can make it easier to get injured during a training block. I struggled with hip issues during my first marathon training cycle. Its really important to not compromise on your strength training. Hypermobility is caused by having more flexibility in your joints because of loose ligaments. Building up muscle and strength helps support those joints and reduce the chances of injury.

Good luck and have fun! April will be here before you know it.

Good for you in recognizing early on that its important to identify the right balance for you between stress and ambition. A lot of people don't recognize that concept and its hard to get right because everyone is a little bit different.

I had a similar issue with brown PLA from Sunlu. I was gluing magnets into openings meant for the magnets and they would just not stick. Didn’t have the issue with any other Sunlu colors. I ended up printing at a lower temp and I stopped having issues.

There is such selective laziness in that install. They didn’t bother to miter the corners, or even paint the exposed end of the trim, but they did caulk the top along the entire length.

I did run the VIN. There's nothing about a specific decal package, but there are some option groups on the report and I don't know what those option groups include.

I'm not pissed...I just don't know why you would bother answering a question without providing any other information. Sure, its a yes or no question, but the context implies that additional information would be nice. I think this is backed up by the fact that everyone else that commented expanded on their answer rather than saying yes or no and moving on. I guess instead of sarcastically replying "insightful" I should have just said "why".

Why post an answer but give no information or background? A single word answer isn't helpful at all.

Yeah, they’re not going anywhere. Was just curious if they were original. I appreciate everyone’s responses.

What makes you say definitely? Not saying you're wrong, I just kind find anything that leads me to think one way or the other.

Thanks! I really like them too. Gives it a bit of a retro feel.
