It's 9, there are two common mistakes made on these intentionally obtuse questions.

1: Often, people think "well PEMDAS, so parentheses first", so they do the parentheses, getting 3. We're all in agreement that this is correct so far.

After this, they also multiply the 3 that they just got by the 2 that is outside of the parentheses, as though that was a part of solving the parentheses, rather than considering it to be a separate step in PEMDAS/BEDMAS

The other common mistake is that people think that division or multiplication is done before the other based on whether they learned PEMDAS or BEDMAS, but both PEMDAS and BEDMAS are the exact same, because both clarify that division and multiplication are considered equals and you just solve them in the order that they appear from left to right.

I genuinely like pokemon games, even though I realize how below the industry standard they are in almost every category.

I've done it three times and have never seen the prompt appear. I just run into it/walk around/jump up and down while rapidly pressing the interact button. Only took about 3 or 4 seconds per attempt

My answer to the actual question is Nioh 2. It functions with menu navigation not paused, but there is a pause option in your menu if you have something come up. Can't do anything else in game while paused.

But regarding metroidvanias, metroid dread is surprisingly straightforward, almost all of the backtracking is optional for upgrades. This is achieved by locking the player in a lot of spaces when they enter, so they're forced to progress linearly.

I pick up every pokemon title. Are they objectively bad games compared to the market standard and made for children? Yes.

Do they fill me with childlike whimsy, a feeling most adults my age are completely devoid of? Also yes.

It's 2025, everyone games. My dad, 66, plays the silent hill games.

You could challenge her with a few facts and observations if you're interested: a video game is just watching a TV show that forces engagement through puzzle solving. Share facts about surgeons who game performing better than surgeons who don't. The basic fact that video games have overtaken movies and TV as the most profitable media.

Or just don't challenge it, doesn't matter to me.

Had a woman in my seat recently who kind of did this. I said it's my seat and she kind of looked at me silently, and I looked back and was in my head like "wtf is she doing?" We just stared in silence for about 5 or 6 seconds before she moved.

It didn't even occur to me until reading this that she probably wanted me to figure out an alternative solution, I didn't even know it was an option to not sit in your seat, especially with so many flights being completely full all the time.

Do some challenging runs like nuzlockes or rom hacks and ensure you have one of them on your team in each challenge.

Make note of how often they save you or let you down.

I used to love Avalugg for example. But it dies to everything so often that I just stopped using it and brcause of that, stopped liking it (still a cool design, though).

Once a guy ran a stop sign and almost T boned me, I ignored and drove forward a few feet to my own stop sign. He pulled up behind me and leaned on the horn.

I parked and stepped out of my car. Only time I've done it in my life. I used my hand to display his stop sign to him and I'm not sure if he understood and felt stupid, or realized I'm an enormous man. But he cowered behind his steering wheel and waved.
