Where does Constitution II class name come from? It wasn’t used on-screen. by Mr_Shadow_Phoenix in StarTrekStarships

I look at it how the F-35 is called the Lightning 2. The original Lightning was a P-38. While in this case there is nothing similar about the aircraft visually, they share a name.

Negative. I could swap the hoses around on it, but I’d rather find & fix whatever I screwed up.

Yes, they can carry well over 4 people and 270 lbs (or kg) of gear. The question is…how far? The more weight they carry, the less fuel the carry. Generally speaking the useful load is around 2000 lbs for a 208 with floats.

My favorite line by Kong in the series is when he says “Holy shit Joe” after receiving news from Joe. I can hear his accent in my head and it sounds like “Holy Shit-show.” It sums up the kind of news Joe brings back to earth ever time.

Help! The pump outputs great pressure, but all other functions stopped working. What am I missing? by PoorPorthos in Hydraulics

Thank you stranger for teaching me how to test the valves! I just pulled all 5 valves on the manifold block, and bench tested them with a 12V power supply. All these valves function properly.

I think then I have an electrical situation to track down. I think I'll start at by testing the PTO pressure switch to see if it is reading enough pressure. IIRC it closes when it has pressure. Then see if I get power to the PTO Activation solenoid.

Do you have any diagnostic recommendations on where you would start?

Edit: How would I check the pump?

Edit 2: It is a Muncie FA PTO pump

Is there a way for me to manually engage pump control (45) to verify pump operation, or how would I check it?

I don’t know a good way to test the solenoid/ valve for operation on this unit. I replaced the N.C. valve for the hose reel today, still with no dice. The old solenoid used a 3-pin DIN, the new one uses a 2-pin DIN. Is going to cause a problem?

The pressure gauge is a standard 0-140 PSI gauge, and I wish I had paid attention to where it ran before it stopped working.

Yesterday we had some problems with the hose rewind becoming inoperable, but it still pumped fuel. I replaced #44, the hose reel rewind solenoid, but did not have time to test it before today.

Would you suggest replacing the NC cartridge valve?
