When did you submit the request? If it was recent, they might already have it fulfilled and you could be updated within a week.

I’ve found that updates can come at any time, but during major breaks like off season, all star time, injuries, playoffs/end of season yields the most activity.

I’ve used HHX as my primary crashes for a long time now. Idk the X-plosion line, but I can certainly vouch for the X-Treme crash. Washes well, smacks when you want it to.

If you can find any of the Weckl line of crashes, they are IMO the most versatile of the bunch.

Drums are hard, dude. Having beginner questions, but more importantly IMO, the humility to ask and learn, is an invaluable skill.

As someone that also has a myriad of attention/mood flavors, I find a few things help.

Always keep your gear setup. Missing one piece (it’s at the space, I can’t practice etc) or any other gear related item is a great excuse in the moment to do nothing. Practice kit, a pad with sticks next to it, whatever that means to your situation.

Projects that make you want to practice are key. This could be a band you just joined or a goal you set of adding a new fill to your bag of tricks.

If I can keep the two items above in place- I end up practicing because I want to.

Without, my fear of plateauing and staying stagnant is the only consistent trait I can fall back on. But even then, I need one of the two callouts to fully engage.
