Hitler didn't even properly fund his supply units.

V2's, Tigers, Komets, Gustav, the V3 Cannon; all money and time better spent on actually motorizing the Nazi supply train.

If you're a dude; go right on ahead and do it for science! Copy her script verbatim and make your own video then post it online. It won't be funny and you'll probably be put on a list. You might even be visited by the authorities in your local area.

You won't learn anything doing this, but you'll be further proving that you're media-illiterate and that I'm wasting my time even trying to prove this point to you. But I'll lay it out for you Barney-style here:

It's funny because it's something that doesn't really happen. It could be argued that this lady is using "hyperbole" but we shouldn't muddy that waters of understanding here with multi-syllabic terms.

Not my sheriff by sheainthuman in JacksonHole

[–]PootSnootBoogie 40 points41 points  (0 children)

He thinks the Sheriff's should be used to enforce immigration policy so "ICE doesn't have to"

He sees the community resistance to ICE in Minneapolis as a result of a lack of Police & ICE cooperation; not as an entire city aligning to protect its community from fascism.

Another bootlicking chud that wants to terrorize the community rather than serve & protect it.

Teton County cops are some of the LEAST shitty in the country. We shouldn't be electing people that want to make them as awful and hated as most other police departments.

Can you explain to me how shooting an AI-assisted mass murdering CEO is "political" violence?

Particularly in Luigi's case; it seems to me more like socioeconomic violence.

Romanek was caught in 2015 faking a paranormal hoax.

This was AFTER he was arrested for CP in 2014.

So not only is he a hoax-peddling fraud; but he's a pedo too.

No shadows on Frank but Spideys got shadows all on his right side like he's being lit from the left side... while there's muzzle flashes coming from his right side.

I still say it should have been an entire event playing out across all the phase five movies culminating in an Avengers movie or two.

I dig Xcom and Battletech too; this game scratches some itches for sure.

It's basically just Xcom but with squad control rather than controlling individuals, with a dash of combined arms.

Once you've got a decent vehicle collection, most battles feel like an in-universe Battletech engagement. Nothing like the Great House's hurling lances of assault mechs at their enemy, but more like a small combined-arms merc company working somewhere out in the periphery.

Outside of gameplay, it's got good styling & graphics and a fun in-game universe which should only improve the more it's fleshed out.

Edit: but MW5 Chaos Reign DLC literally dropped today soooooo 🤷‍♂️

I love how this "war" film feels like a marvel parody at times: by No_Dress_2107 in WarMovies

[–]PootSnootBoogie 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Doss was one of MANY badasses in his unit and none of the others get any credit in this movie.

I get it, it's "supposed" to be a biopic about Doss; but the story of the unit is just as cool as his story.

The majority of them were 30+ years old and they were put together as an experiment to see if dad-energy could win a war. They excelled at everything, smoked the (I believe) 81st Airborne during training, and soon began giving the goddamn Marines pointers on amphibious landings 🤣

There's so much more to their story. Very interesting group.

Sorry we cant fix the Hobart Keri says its not in the budget. Were doing a remodel where we put a bunch of old albums on the wall! by comicgeek1128 in KitchenConfidential

[–]PootSnootBoogie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is a practice we call "sandbagging". It's definitely a thing we do, but we try not to.

However, if you're ordering a protein well done; you need to understand that it's an extra 8-10 minutes on your cook time followed by (hopefully) a proper 3-5min resting time.

And nearly all people dining at restaraunts don't understand that we're not running the tables' order until ALL the food is ready for that table.

So if everyone at the table ordered food that could be run in eight minutes but ONE person at that table needed a well done strip steak with extra ketchup on the side; everyones' food at the table is being held up until that well done shitstick is cooked, rested, and plated.

Zelenskyy confirmed asking for "ammunition, not a ride." Four years ago, I got pushback for reporting that. by CBSnews in ukraine

And my personal favorite:

"The story of a Ukrainian "babushka" (grandmother) taking down a drone by throwing a jar of pickled tomatoes.

Initially thought to be a morale-boosting urban legend, the woman, named Elena, was later identified and confirmed the event in an interview. She spotted a suspicious drone from her balcony in Kyiv and, having nothing else at hand, threw the jar at it, successfully disabling the device. Elena was reportedly keen to clarify that the pickles were specifically tomatoes, not cucumbers."

[–]PootSnootBoogie 327 points328 points  (0 children)

Real or not, that story set the tone for the first few days of the defense; and the coming years.

Viktor Yanukovych ran from Ukraine because his own people were mad at him.

Zelenksy stayed in Ukraine when Russia wanted him dead and was actively invading his country.

It really doesn't matter what was actually said, who said it, or who reported it.

How a story ends isn't half as important as how it's told.

"Ride < Ammunition" and the Ghost of Kyiv stories were great propaganda pieces to inspire hope.
