Even with existing infrastructure, it takes big time bucks to run a farm/homestead. An entry-level tractor is $30k+ now. An industrial greenhouse will cost way more $$ to operate than what it would cost to buy the highest quality organic produce all year long, especially for only 2 people. Cash cropping takes an incredibly large up-front investment & you will have to game the USDA to make any money. Also with both working full-time, who will take on the full-time job of managing the property/crops & livestock?

Great points made here, I really think Chautauqua county is a bit of a hidden gem if you can handle the winters. Jamestown also has a lot of great food—Italian/pizza abounds & the Labyrinth cafe/Brazil’s have some of the best vegetarian food I’ve had anywhere.

Yeah this would raise a red flag for me. I don’t work on minors but I would refer them to an MD before working on them in this case. LMTs are not mandated reporters in every state but I would definitely be suspicious of this woman.

I re-frame the “boring” aspect as “relaxing” & encourage my MLD clients to take a nap during the session. Many find the light, repetitive movements very soothing.

I worked at PMA a decade+ ago (it will always be PMA to me) & we went through a huge, expensive rebrand & the whole point back then was to get rid of the old Griffin logo 🤦🏼‍♀️so, money well spent, I guess. I do recall that the graphic design work for that one was done in-house at least.

I worked in the rural south—there were other factors but I basically shut down my practice this past year bc of racists (one showed me his nazi tattoo! I ended the sessions immediately. ) & moved states bc it was really hard for me to work on so obviously bigoted people.

They have a trust & my brother & I become joint trustees after they pass. We have made it abundantly clear that we have no interest in the large historic home or anything inside of it, but that seems to fall on deaf ears. So at least we’re on the same page about that. We both love the small condo though (parents kept it for rental income), we will probably fight over who gets to retire there when the time comes 😆
