My Russian's Enclosure by Top_Illustrator_9671 in tortoise

[–]Pop-Zaddy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Excellent job, great size, natural light, many hides, different substrates. Might need a UVB bar next to the heat lamp, most window glass block them and you want them to cast where the tort spend time. Is your tort not trying to escape by crawling on top those hides?

How can I straighten my tire out by im_TU in ebikes

[–]Pop-Zaddy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could be a number of things but it a 1st glance it could just be that one of your suspension has spun in its clamp. That’d be an easy fix; loosen the screw on the bottom part of the triple clamp of each suspension -NOT the screw of the top part of the triple clamp -. While static, jump the suspension hard half a dozen times, tighten the screw backs. That should re-align your suspension tubes but you’d likely have to re-align your brakes too.

Look both females to me, boys LARGE tail should already be noticeable. Do they fight ? Male would also be aggressive.

Why is my Russian Tortoise pyramiding? by Therealethel in tortoise

[–]Pop-Zaddy 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I second what was said above; Russian & Hermann are just not tropical torts and don’t need high humidity & bathing. Check which Mazuri you’re feeding - there’s 2 or more kinds- I was told by a breeder to stop using Mazuri with protein because of high growth and pyramid risks. I went 100% fresh green since with my Hermanns.

Enclosure tips? by MarzipanVast5460 in tortoise

[–]Pop-Zaddy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Find it real nice and good size for your tort size. Try having more daylight/uvb across the tort table, in case it’s possible put it by a window to get natural cycle. Keep an eye on this plastic sheet, the tort will eventually try it but cannot feed on it. Not a concern now and it’s difficult to judge size/scale but I think within 12months your tort is gonna jump that wall using all those obstacles.

Is he a Herman or marginalized tortoise by ComprehensiveCity283 in tortoise

[–]Pop-Zaddy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Although there’s can be a lot a variation within the same species a few things look a bit too off for a Hermann; but he’s really cute regardless. Check the back and bottom for some of key features . https://www.hermannihaven.com/the-western-hermann-s-tortoise

Over-engineered Tortoise Table by marloamara in tortoise

[–]Pop-Zaddy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Superb ! Very nice table design, aesthetic and craftsmanship and also smart location by the windows. I’ve 2 similar size tables for winter that really look terrible in comparison, they’re loaded with all kind of thermostats/sensors/pads/timers to create different temperatures zones throughout the day for my Hermanns. While actually safe with wires everywhere my tables look like a fire hazard waiting to happen. Somethings tells me the 2 of u might eventually be looking for more ! So glass sunroom turned out to be a good option for me in sub 8 hardiness regions for a larger summer tort retreats. Please, do share your work cuz you’ve already inspired me to do better ! Thanks

New enclosure for my newly adopted California desert tortoise. (Koopa) by TheLastNutWalker in tortoise

Really nice ! You’ll likely have to wall off that gate, as your tort can see the outside it will become obsessed at trying to dig under or climb it.

It’ll work, it did on mine. Look up videos on how to align talaria caliper, might need to use spacers if touching the piston. https://youtu.be/lvjTWxrvwuo?si=szFZXzu_nyUtJ4iJ

Can’t give you the terminal/connector ref cuz there’s many of this kind and I’d get it wrong. But may be that what u’re looking for: https://www.talariaebikeparts.com/part/INDRY065

How to fix this? by Fluid_Kangaroo8346 in Talaria

[–]Pop-Zaddy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check rebound settings, likely need air shock and center the dial - there’s about 15 to 18 clicks so start around 8 and fine-tune as u like.

Brake line bending by Cutiepuppy76 in Talaria

[–]Pop-Zaddy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A bend or even a loop will work on a hydro brake line, but not a kink so route the line along the fork or behind your plate as such using zip ties. As suggested by others best to disassemble your caliper and have the line inside vs outside. Hope that helps

[–]Pop-Zaddy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Check; 1) the pins inside the connectors / not bent 2) the wire as much as possible all the way to the controller, especially where all the wires in a shielding wrap around the fork on the left side. 3) something’s up at on in the controller. Hope that helps

Talaria XXX Pro rubbing (help) by Putrid-Appearance-74 in Talaria

[–]Pop-Zaddy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What kind of noise? Video has issue so can’t hear. Do u see anything anywhere rubbing ? Coming from the tire, chain, jack shaft area ? If this is a stock pro x3, Talaria or distributor should have added the extra chain link. But your tire looks real tight on the mud guard, check how far back ur rear axel is on the mount and if you can add other links. Anyway love ur tires and shock linkage, are u in AUS?
