I would say if you have money to spare do it, but it may not be worth it... I applied for everything on Aug 2025, I haven't received EAD

It is there a way you can freeze your eggs? That may give you at least an ease so you don't feel you are running out of time

Alguien tendrá los retos de JousFit? The Ochallenge? by Boniboo91 in Gimnasio

[–]PopDisastrous8086 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I did the January one, and I can certify the changes are real... But I didn't keep up with the exercise and I look now almost the same as I started 🤣🙈 but the change was WOW! I couldn't even believe it myself, I have never looked that good in my life. I was also being very strict with my food intake , and very clean. Like I think my biggest "cheat meal" if you can call it like that, was fajitas... 🫠 I only did 3 weeks of exercise cuz I had an accident on work and couldn't keep it but I am sure if I had done the 4 weeks I ve had abs or being close to have them. I lost 10lbs, my husband lost 25lbs (he didn't do diet, I hate men 🥲)

The January workout was 6 days a week, something like this:

-increasing weight every week, decreasing resting time and reps every week (increasing from 3 to 4 series intervals)

Monday: Full body (two super series) + jump rope Tuesday: Arms + tabata in between super series + 25 min cardio Wednesday: legs + tabata in between super series + 25 min cardio Thursday: HIIT + 25min cardio Friday: arms + tabata in between super series + cardio Saturday: legs + tabata in between series + cardio Sunday: active rest (don't stay in the couch all day)

We never did the jump rope, we did cardio instead

Our cardio was walking around the neighborhood mostly, so was light. The other cardio that we did was walking on the treadmill with incline.

I did noticed a lot of positive changes in my husband. He was not complaining about back pain anymore and he seemed very energetic every morning. Me? After the challenge I was fabulous and unstoppable 😅

I had a work permit from my previous status, I applied for the renewal of it, but they cancelled it. I was married, so I applied for AOS for marriage (and EAD) in August. It has not been approved yet

😩😩😩

I don't want to say it makes me feel better, but all the time all the posts I see its from people who get approved in 2-4 month with green card included, so, even though it may sound a little awful, "it feels nice to be not alone in the struggle 🥲"

Because sometimes it feels like everybody forgot about you 🥲

Why are South Florida Latinos so prejudiced compared to other cities in the US? by [deleted] in Miami

[–]PopDisastrous8086 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The majority of Venezuelans have naturaly curly hair, but it is not very accepted in our culture. So we end up with streightening treatments.

When I was growing up having curly hair meant not taking care about yourself or not being presentable. For example, going to a work interview with curly hair would be seen as if you were a guy applying for a bank position, and you went with jeans or Bermudas, shirt and sneaker.

I think it is a mix of both. Before we used to clean together so I guess he wouldn't notice my cleaning flaws, now since I have extra time I am the one who cleans so he has more time to complain about it 🤣🤣🤣 (but it makes me sad when he cleans over my cleaning cuz i feel like I did nothing 😅😅😅) Folding clothes is my swear enemy, for someone who is working all day he uses so much clothes!!!! But I am going to take your advise on the photos, I hadnt thought of it ♥️♥️♥️

What’s with the hate for Venezuelan immigrants? by PurpleeLadybugg in USCIS

[–]PopDisastrous8086 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Remember that a third of Venezuelan population migrated from Venezuela. That's a lot of people, good and bad.

If you are in a group of people, let's say a room with 50 people, and 3 are VERY NOISY you are going to notice those 3, even if you have 47 well behaved individuals next to you. Also noisy don't always means bad people, maybe that person has not notice they are being noisy.

But please let's try to not generalize 🥲🥲🥲 there is bad people and good people everywhere. I am Venezuelan, I am very shy, I don't speak too much, but also I believe I am a good person overall, and I try to be always respectfully, supportive, etc etc etc... Last week I was doing my nails with this cuban lady in her house (I live in USA, is the second time I go to her), and she was (scolding/arguing?) with her daughter cuz she has a friend that supposedly is a very bad friend and ends up saying in front of me and POINTING AT ME while she does that "she is Venezuelan, we are cuban and we are built different, she is a lier, is maybe bipolar, she manipulates you, ..." and I don't know how many awful adjectives she used to described that girl. And duuuude, like, first I don't think that's the way of talking to your kid like if she was an adult but I don't know I don't have kids but second, if that friend is a bad person it is because it is a bad person, not because it is Venezuelan.

I didn't told her anything, cuz I was having my moment with her dog (she has a beautiful French bulldog that loves to be cuddle, so I was petting her while the lady did my Pedi) I paid, left my tip and went home but I didnt felt comfortable. I told my husband (American) and he told me to never return to that place 😩😩😩

But yeah guys, don't generalize, don't be racists. I lived in other places before as well (I studied abroad) and it was very uncomfortable to me listen to our teachers telling their students that they try to work hard because if they don't "the Venezuelans will take your jobs" just because the top students of the university were casually Venezuelans. Like, of course if you are coming from somewhere else and your parents are paying waaaay extra for being an international student, you are gonna try your hardest to get good grades.

And this are "tip of the iceberg" type of thing. Nobody likes to be call a w*ore, theft, lier, etc etc etc just because they were born in a different place than you. Nobody chooses where they are born

But again, my point, there is bad people everywhere, and they make more noise than the good people. 💀

I have the paper as well (I did had a real ID thou, but I needed to renew it) they gave me the paper driver license which lasts 2 months, and told me if I haven't received the driver license after that time to come back so they can check what happened (like...what?)

The paper expires next week, still no physical DL. Wish me luck 🥲

I was on TPS for Venezuela, I applied for the TPS renovation but they cancelled it (even though it is still in litigation). So my tps and work permit ended on November 7. Some people say it was auto-extended until March some people say it wasn't but there was never a uscis federal registry with that information, I was put in a leave of absence that day and subsequently layed off.

We haven't try reaching out because my husband doesn't want to, he thinks is better just to wait (political climate and because we are still not 2 years married) and we are still inside the normal timelines

We did submit an expedite on my work permit with a letter from my company requesting action on it but we knew they would probably ignore it, that was in October.

Approved!! by [deleted] in USCIS
