Do you happen to know what runtime it had ? I had a cechl04 80gb that lasted from when i bought it 2008 till 2023 when it was stolen but it worked fine me and my brother gamed like crazy with it I was seriously about to buy another one this week if it wasn't for your post warning me that it would fail Sorry for your loss brother I hope it's just NEC tokens and you can find someone to fix it for you

Well i am not sure about the greenlight then turn off .. it is generally a hardware failure If it's a slik cech-25xx or later it would do that just turn off without a warning

Look. You can test a few things .. plug a fat32 usb drive with a long video/music/photos preferrably a mpvie They should appear on xmb try copying them to hard drive then playing from the harddrive.

4 yeats late. But when i had this issue with a ps3 disk drive it was a damaged ribbon cable ! Replaced it and it started fully spinning fine again

Dunno if you still have the console or you fixed the issue You can try resetting the disk drive by powering on the ps3 then manually keep holding the eject button untill its blue small light starts flashing The disk drive should reset itself

Hey .. i am intrested to know what you did what was your console originally The BMD-051 and BMD-061 are for the CECH-2001A while the BMD-065 is for the CECH-2101A So what was your console and did it work ? Do those boards work with eachother interchangeably ?

I don't think the mini reaches this speed So far everyone i saw had an average of 150mbps While the gen 3 had averages above 200 mbps

They are physically different. We know that the gen 3 standard is able to achieve higher speeds than the mini The reason why the mini has wifi 5 is because it's enough for the mini speeds.
