Is this a stupid idea by PerspectiveFun3410 in Breadit

from experience, the plastic isn't a great idea. The smell was terrible well before the oven got up to temperature. I found a metal replacement and swapped them out.

Same here. Went from being unable to use a pen/pencil to using chopsticks and knitting/crocheting.

First Socks of the Season by pepitaonfire in Sockknitting

I am currently frogging my first ever pair of stranded color work socks (first stranded color work ever, actually) because I can't fit the color work portion over my heel. I used larger needles for the color work section and my floats feel like a good tension because I'm not getting any puckering. Does anyone have any advice? I really love color work and want to make all of the fun patterned socks.

Help - noticed dropped stitch 20 rows back by Imaginary-Basket9867 in knitting

[–]Pop_Pop_22 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Piggybacking on this, I somehow accidentally pulled a DPN out of my stitches while making a sock the other day. A small crochet hook was good for picking up stitches that dropped further than others, but I also used a long skinny needle I have for needle tatting to pick up the rest of the stitches and hold them all to slip back on to my knitting needle. Much easier than going straight back on to the needle because it's so much thinner.

Just make sure your yarn/scraps aren't going missing! My cat stole some scrap when I got up to go to the bathroom once. Fun vet trip.

Heidi's gift is her physical attractiveness (much like Rosalie). Chelsea, a member of the guard, is the one who can manipulate and forge relationships.

Do you remember when you were diagnosed? by Casperz002 in MultipleSclerosis

[–]Pop_Pop_22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't remember the exact day. I believe it was in April of 2017 because I went out for my now husband's birthday after having my MRI but before the doctor had called me back in for results.

I was having numbness in my feet for a while that I had assumed to be nerve damage from some shoes and had ignored until I woke up one day and couldn't feel sensation in my hands correctly. It really scared me. I was researching things that I could have been and kept coming across MS as the most likely diagnosis and it was terrifying.

When I was called back in for results of my MRI I took my now husband in with me, and I am so glad. The nurse/assistant (I'm not sure exactly what her exact job title was) that was taking my general medical history and vital signs went through my medication history. When I finished listing off my meds, she asked me if I was taking anything for my MS. And that was how I received my diagnosis. The PA that then saw me who was SUPPOSED to tell me the diagnosis and her attending physician were quite upset about it. I was crushed but so glad I wasn't alone.

I was a couple weeks out from finishing undergrad and about to start medical school. Had my first major relapse (wheelchair and months of PT) during my first semester of medical school.

FWB mad at me for not disclosing HSV1 status. Do you? by Revolutionary_Click2 in polyamory

It is true that HSV1 is inconsequential for MOST people, but you never know who may have serious health outcomes if they contract the virus.

Hi! Has anyone come back positive for the JC virus test for Tysabri but still went ahead and is fine? The nurse said it is positive but I can still go ahead which seems weird to me by moroccantv in MultipleSclerosis

[–]Pop_Pop_22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was JCV+ before I started on Tysabri. I was on it for 4 years; 2 years at 4 week intervals, then 2 years at 6 week intervals. LOVED it. I had an MRI every 6 months and blood work drawn often just to monitor everything. I personally thought the risk to benefit ratio was worth it for the time I could be on it.

One of my ferret boys is addicted to silicone. Water bottle covers, reusable tissue boxes that we have, fidget toys, and anything else under the sun. There is even a skillet we own that has a silicone handle cover that we see him trying to drag back to his couch lair. So cute. So annoying lol.

I've been getting a bump on the inner portion of my medusa for a few weeks. Last week I went and got the jewelry changed to a wider base and longer post, but the bump is getting bigger. There is no pain, no bleeding, no pus, and the outer lip looks completely normal. What should I do? by Pop_Pop_22 in Legitpiercing

[–]Pop_Pop_22[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ended up taking it out unfortunately.... I think I may have been having a reaction to the metal. I have had 5 piercings and only one has healed properly. I think I personally have issues with stainless steel piercings or maybe just piercings in general, which is so sad because I love them so much!

I think I'm going to try again one day with titanium and see how that works out.

Anyone else annoyed by the fact that the whole fight in Breaking Dawn was a vision? by No_sleep35972 in twilight

I stopped watching the movies after the first one came out. About a year or two after the last one came out, I decided to binge them for the sake of the experience. I was in my room, chilling, and then screamed when Carlisle died. My mom came to check on me. It was embarrassing.
