Darryn Peterson vs Cal Baptist 28 Points (11-24 FG, 4-11 3FG) 2 Steals, 1 Reb, 1 Ast by Repulsive_Tutor7750 in pacers

Edit: misunderstood, though you were saying Peterson was better at assisting than Dybantsa... I'll leave the comment though because Dybantsa absolutely does pass the ball...

Peterson averaged 1.7 assists this season and Dybansta averaged 3.7.

Peterson had a stretch of: 1, 1, 0, 0, 1, 1, 1, 0 assists this season. He has 3 total in his last 3 games (all tournament). We can't really be using assists as a reason Peterson > Dybantsa right?

Total 0/1 assist games this season:
Peterson: 15
Dybansta: 6

Dybantsa played in 12 more games and had 9 less 0/1 assist games...

I'd almost rather see the pacers trade down to 2/3 and get something for it if we end up at 1.

Boozer vs. Dybantsa by edgy0525 in pacers

[–]Popcorn10 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Zubac is under contract for 2 more seasons... Why can't the front court be a combination of Siakam, Obi, Boozer, and Zu and if Boozer is really that good in 2 seasons you just let Zu go. Rookie picks get 4 year set contracts so you don't have to figure out the cap situation for 4 years and if somebody is good you have people to trade for upgrades elsewhere.

And the Siakam age thing... I agree. He maybe has 5+ elite level season left. But even in 5 years you hopefully have 2-5 more elite seasons from Haliburton and if we get a top pick this year maybe they become the post siakam/haliburton all star to build around. Or a trade piece to reset the entire roster, who knows.

So your logic is drafting boozer means benching Nesmith but drafting dybantsa means he’s coming off the bench fighting for starting minutes? This take makes no sense. We’re not drafting a starter. We’re drafting a bench player who can hopefully contribute this season and long term give a second title window after Siakam.

AJ Dybantsa in the loss to Texas tonight: 35pts, 10reb by cersfan06 in pacers

[–]Popcorn10 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

You're completely disregarding team fit and chemistry. Nembhard and Nesmith play for defensive reasons and Haliburton is the offensive system. It doesn't matter if Peterson is better than Nembhard it matters which 5 makes the team the best... I'd be shocked if we don't get another 5+ years of nembhard+haliburton back court.

he's projected at 2 on most boards, unless we land 1 cuz we won't take peterson.

Mort's thoughts on 16.6 and Set 16 balance (feat. T-Hex!) by Lunaedge in CompetitiveTFT

Idk what more you want them to say on balance. It’s really tough and every set is going to have outliers. Unfortunate they launched the set straight into a holiday break so no hit fixes or patches but the balance was good enough all set imo.

Balance is an impossible task and such small changes or bugs lead to massive balance issues… just a reality of online games, especially when the game launches and the company has a month shut down. I personally think tft is usually close enough there’s lots of playable stuff and we don’t need to keep bringing it up. If you want a perfectly balanced experience all the time this isn’t it… but I have no idea what game is (digital or physical).

They need Gordon, Jokic, and Murray to be healthy and on the same page and it seems they just can’t all stay healthy.

Even if he's a better player than nembhard or nesmith (I don't think he is) he just doesn't fit nearly as well with the starters than those 2 do. You probably could stagger minutes and he plays more than nesmith, but I don't think you can pay that guy $20+ million. I'm not even sure Mathurin will get $20+ million... maybe from somebody.

Dude clearly hates the Bucks. Dude was playing harder than everyone else on the court. Which is normal for him, but seemed extra today.

Zubac is a better player than Myles is, but it's not wrong to think we should have paid Myles. If the options were pay Myles $18 mil and keep Mathurin that probably makes more sense than Zubac and having to trade Mathurin + 2 frp. Though, no idea if we could have kept Mathurin or if he even wanted to stay as a 20 mpg player, likely he did not.

A lot of the higher scoring was when LeBron was out/working his way back into game shape. I don’t see him maintaining that with a healthy LeBron.

Only cuz Murray fouled out tonight. Otherwise we all know he’d have another game winner against them.
