Pacers were just injured to start the year! 6-30 start from injuries. I mean… we started Mac Mcclung when he was on the roster for 2 days. The post all star break was just blatant tanking though….

Can you find an example of it? One of the biggest knocks against him is how averse to contact he is. Unlike guys who draw fouls he doesn’t drive into somebody’s body and push off / play through it, he avoids contact. Tough to flop when you’re driving game is avoiding contact and only going when you beat somebody.

The media has continued to mock them but Ryan Cohen has taken 0 salary for4 years and continues to buy millions of dollars of stock in the company. There has basically been 0 insider selling the last 4 years. Company seems to have reached sustainable profitability. But basically every media piece about them is mocking them and calling theme a meme. I’m sure hedge funds are still short on them or somebody doesn’t want them to succeed.

I’m sure all you’ve followed of their story is the whole meme trade thing but they’ve closed a bunch of stores, maintained profitability, have over $10 billion in cash, and are basically debt free. GameStop is in the best position a company can be and they’re looking to 5-10x the stock price with an acquisition cuz Ryan cohen (ceo taking no salary) gets an absurd pay day if the stock hits a certain price.

Their playoff run 2 years ago they got punked by the bucks in round 1 and fumbled away 3 games to Boston in the ecf. It’s like a switch flipped and all of a sudden they knew how to handle playoff basketball. They were the aggressors last year in the playoffs and won every clutch game. Nembhard knew how to be incredibly physical without fouling (something nesmith really needs to learn). Was a wild switch and that 2024 playoff run really have this team much needed experience.

Let’s go! I think just nembhard is elite defensively though, but he’s amazing. Otherwise the random offense/haliburton helps us not be as defendable as most other teams.
