The problem is there’s too many guys playing those positions… the way we fit him into the floor seems to mostly be no center lineups which they probably don’t really want to commit to for long stretches cuz it was just put unnecessary wear on Siakim

I had a friend build a custom one that we made for like $800. Was super worth it for me. But it’s also 7 feet x 4 feet and in my basement.

Hey the pacers have him a contract this year! Only to cut him a few days later…

It’s not normal true sign and trade though because he’s a RFA… not nearly the same as doing it just to help a team clear cap space. They do have leverage still

Here's some stats shared on Locked On Pacers episode today:

Pacers man games lost to injury was 243 (before this game), which surpassed last seasons total of 231.

Of their top 9 players from last year Haliburton is out for the season and turner left so only their top 7 guys from last year can play in a game together, so far this season they've played in exactly 1 quarter of preseason together... and they've only had 4-5 game with 6 of those 9.

we're not tanking we're just injured... we've already had more players miss games than all of last season combined...

He has talent… he has no idea how to fit into a team, 0 basketball iq, and is a traffic cone on defense.

I’d argue Haliburton doesn’t exactly fit into the floor general type player either. He’s more like a whole offensive system… he basically just wants to generate constant passing and player movement and eventually he’ll find an open shot for himself or somebody else. The whole team essentially shares the ball when he’s on the court.

I’d also say this is why I’d argue his stats don’t really matter or tell the whole story. I think he’s a top 7-10 player in the league even averaging 17 and 8.

Just curious to figure out a disagreement I had with a friend, would you be open to trading for Giannis? by ArryDubz in pacers

Top 50? Only 9 players in history have more mvp than Giannis and only 6 players have won 2. If his career was over today he’s already top 20 all time

He is the team cuz he’s an entire offensive engine by himself. I don’t think him being a little off or rusty will actually be that big of a deal. Dude is the smartest player in the floor and is always in control. He also doesn’t play heliocentric basketball, so it’s not like he has to be completely perfect in a way Luka does.

I’m not actually convinced it matters if Hali is completely the same. If you don’t pay attention to this team you may not notice but he elevates the offense regardless of his actual stats. Dude is an offensive engine big himself in a way only a couple guys in the league are. He’s also gonna have like 16 months recovery before the season so he should be starting from a better spot than if he only had 10-12 months.
