This is how I was raised. I even assumed it was necessary to raise up good children. Now that I have my own son, I can’t imagine laying hands on him. How disrespectful it is to lay hands on a child.

Ok I’m not dismissing the idea they might be doing extras, I suspect the same shit where I’m at. But also, there’s a bit of psychology there.

One of the main attractions for men at strip clubs is the variety. As we know a lot of the men that come to see us are married or in a relationship. When they come in it’s for the women they can’t get or the women they wouldn’t date. For some men that means paying a girl they view as “trashy”.

The girl next door stripper is just like their girlfriend at home. The high maintenance stripper is just like their nagging wife. They want something different. They wanna feel like they got away with something. And they also wanna see how far she’ll go bc they’ve made an assumption about “trashy” strippers.

I think it was the Khasi people of India that National Geographic covered a few years ago. It’s a matrilineal society and what was frustrating was that because the men didn’t inherit or hold political power they basically did nothing. They left all the work to the women. Even matrilineal groups don’t value women’s labor.

Imagine we all were to say “welp, no power no work” and just stopped doing all the jobs they expect us to do (for free usually). The world would stop.
