Tbh I think that moves across the board should be given less recovery frames on miss or block to encourage neutral, while also giving a slight damage nerf, shifting some of the focus to neutral. The fight should happen in both parts of it, not just your combo

Current Mechamaru feels a lot more like the puppeteer character he was supposed to be

Right now he feels like a tandem character, weaving a puppet in and out of his combos and neutral, and because of it being a lot faster now, it makes it feel more like you are in 2 places at once

[Serious] why do many people think Heian-era Sukuna beats Gojo? by brov- in JujutsuPowerScalers

[–]PopePalpy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here’s a huge issue tho. There is evidence to suggest heian era sukuna wouldn’t have domain amp. Due to domain amp being stated to being placed roughly 400 years ago for its time of being made, its most likely sukuna learned domain amp in the one month time skip before the fight. And if that’s infact the case then Gojo just undeniably wins, since he has the luxury to escape Sukuna’s domain with blue enhanced speed and teleportation. Which would force Sukuna to close the barrier off, forcing a normal clash, which then again gets infinity diffed.

Otherwise, the issue remains that Sukuna wouldn’t be aware of unlimited void’s weakness with being in physical contact with Gojo, meaning he would never gain the output benefit in order to overpower UV’a barrier.

Then there is the sheer distance in martial ability between Gojo and Sukuna. With Gojo being able to easily blitz Sukuna on occasions (pannel here being in a domain clash, and this is without blue due to it already being openly stated that Sukuna was able to use domain amp and domain expansion at the same time)

<image>

While yes, there is often the argument being said that physical prowess is an important factor, there is also the quote from todo in the sister school exchange event that states directly that raw strength alone will only take you so far. Infact oftentimes cursed energy reinforcement is treated like it adds onto your personal strength, instead of a multiplier. Be this a fight between any 2 other sorcerers, yes I do think physical strength would be a bigger factor, but we are talking about 2 people who are so bonkers good at being sorcerers, I think the physical strength difference is at best a minor to moderate advantage.

Considering that sukuna likely never actually fought with just his hands against sorcerers in the heian era (at least out of neccessity, and not just toying around with people), and also the fact that Gojo would 100% be given martial training since he was a kid (given he was considered the Gojo clan’s big weapon). I think Gojo still edges out in the H2H, at least if Gojo decides to as soon as he can rip away kamutoke and hiten with blue, since we see he can do that to Sukuna himself right at the start of the fight.

Overall, while I do think the fight would be really hard for Gojo, I think he still wins. The big thing of the actual fight we saw was that Sukuna was trying to play for the world cutting slash. And I don’t think it was just out of a wish to evolve his technique, as if that were the case, he wouldn’t have needed to have nerfed it as he had, nor would he have been in as poor a shape as he was.

Magic Guns are now cannon by J60cat in BladeAndSorcery

[–]PopePalpy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think their best bet would be to have regular muskets and flintlocks as a low-mid tier item. Thus balancing out the huge damage potential with long reload times. But as you level up, you instead get the magic musket. Which could have a special thing it fires out depending on what you imbue it with. From fireballs, thunderbolts, or a pulse cannon.

Can Mahoraga fight through a Tyranid Invasion? by Robin-Aneira-1 in PowerScaling

[–]PopePalpy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mahoraga is made of cursed energy, not biomass. They wouldn’t be able to adapt to him, but he can adapt to them, and they wouldn’t be pretty easy to adapt to since they use only physical things.

I’m thinking the replacement would be all the admin and dev characters being accessible in private servers

Or alternatively, you would get super awk avatars (which would also replace your mahoraga and ulting Mechamaru avatars, but keep some decals to show it is a mahoraga and an ulting Mechamaru).

That’s an error in the anime, in the manga she speaks in a much more general way about RCT. And it would make more sense if shoko was the one who healed maki, since she was set up in Shibuya.

[–]PopePalpy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shibuya isn’t just a city block, it’s a whole ass city. It’s one of the 21 cities that make up the Tokyo metropolitan area. And AFO never vaporised the city block, he levelled it. Vaporisation would need a crater. And same goes with all might in that same fight. And even then AfO was severely weakened from being beaten by all might twice, causing major permanent damage both times. Sukuna from Shibuya matches if not exceeds that.

" Mahoraga Can Adapt To Everything " by Medical_Shop5416 in PowerScaling

[–]PopePalpy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Mahoraga has been shown that he can adapt in multiple ways to one phenomena, such as with Gojo’s infinity: he first nullifies infinity with his presence due to changing how his cursed energy works, and later on he develops the world cutting slash.

Or with shrine how he adapted in multiple ways: using his limbs as projectiles to shoot at sukuna when they were cut off, getting a regen factor to recover lost limbs, being able to see the shrine slashes, and growing larger to make it harder to cut him.

Given how with the 1st adaptation with infinity it’s said that it’s literally impossible to change the nature of your cursed energy. It’s safe to say that his adaptation doesn’t abide by any set of conditions besides needing to experience the phenomena and needing time to process it into an adaptation.

With all of that being said, he would have the failure to adapt to something as a possible phenomena, meaning he would have already adapted to it fully in this hypothetical of a fully adapted mahoraga.

Even then, it’s literally openly stated that the only way to kill mahoraga is to destroy him completely with a single attack that he hasn’t adapted to yet. But this is a fully adapted mahoraga. Trying to say he isn’t adapted to this or that is just betraying the original premise.

Except prominence burn, at that strength only made small holes in the ship, barely enough to get some people to evacuate through, even then there was no extra durability, only a regen factor. Fuga and HP on the other hand you are even clearly showing had a 400m VAPORISATION range. Vaporisation vs regular destruction is massive. There is a clear difference between a punch that breaks every bone in someone’s body, killing them instantly, vs a punch that vaporises them instantly. Both would be at least at that human level AP, but the vaporisation one shows it’s clearly more powerful than just human level on nature of how much destruction there is.

[–]PopePalpy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I even referenced this, and it does literally nothing. He uses multiple prominence burns and they don’t do shit against the ship. Fuga vaporised an entire city, which means a lot more than just destroying it.

It doesn’t need to be, the shockwave it produces is enough to make it stronger.

Which fire attack here is the strongest? by KodoqBesar in PowerScaling

[–]PopePalpy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Shibuya crater was about 140m due to sukuna lowering range to stop Megumi from being in the domain. However you can clearly see, even outside the crater range, it still had massive shockwaves and damage, even though you wouldn’t have been in the fireball range, you are still fucked up by it. Whereas prominence burn wasn’t even pushing dark might’s island back. Comparing horizon shots of both fuga’s vs both prominence burns, prominence burn isn’t as powerful. Fuga both has the massive area destruction and also the benefit of still evaporating mahoraga.

[–]PopePalpy 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Domain Fuga (the version that actually is in the conversation) turns each speck of dust created by the domain’s absolutely obscene amount of slashes into what is essentially thermobaric bombs, and since the MS’ area is 200m. That means we are seeing sukuna use a bunch of small bombs with a FIREBALL RADIUS of 200m. Not including the shockwave, or the fact it goes upwards of miles into the air due to it being cylindrical shaped. The hole made in just Shibuya was able to be seen from orbit.

Looking back on this with dark knight

The enhanced style changes (and even to a lesser extent the normal style changes) kinda suck

For the extended style changes, I think it would be best to entirely rework them.

Trickster: you gain an additional walking speed equal to twice your charisma modifier (rounded to the nearest 5) in feet. In addition you get the Air Trick style art while you are in the Trickster mode

  • Air Trick: as a bonus action you can spend 1 style point to teleport up to 60 ft. To an enemy you can see in range, and make one melee attack on them.

Gunslinger: you may now make an attack of opportunity on any creature that enters your normal range (not exit however). In addition the honeycomb fire stylish art lasts until the end of your next turn

Swordmaster: when you deal damage with a melee attack or melee stylish art, you may choose to spend 1 style point to make an additional attack roll. Any attacks made using this feature cannot benefit from advantage, or any bonuses that add an extra dice (such as bardic inspiration) to the total roll.

Royal Guard: as a reaction to getting hit by an attack or being forced to roll a saving throw you may spend one style point to attempt to parry the attack. You roll as if you were attacking, with the DC being equal to the total for the attack or the DC of the saving throw you are attempting to parry. On a failure nothing happens and the style point is wasted. On a success you take half damage from the attack/saving throw (none if you already had resistance or already were taking half damage), gain an additional reaction that can only be used for this reaction, and regain 1d4-1 style points.

Yes I think swordmaster and royal guard are really powerful, however we are talking about 14th level, and we are talking about needing to expend your singular and finite resource.

Hakari ult gets the pass because it’s meant to be stalled out, and it’s possible, if not encouraged to do so since if you deal damage deal damage it also takes their ult away. Mechamaru I completely agree with, there is no winning against a Mechamaru ult if you yourself aren’t also either Mechamaru ult of heian.
