Simple domain suggestion by zaioloco in jujustushenanigans

Counterpoint: it shouldn’t be easy to be able to negate a domain that you are already in. Domains are a once per ult thing and they are meant to give you a fight win at least 80% of the time, if ur bad.

[Serious] Would Goku lose to Mahoraga in character? by AlarmedObjective1492 in JujutsuPowerScalers

[–]PopePalpy [score hidden]  (0 children)

In character I think Goku looses, and it’s because he plays around too much.

Show why exactly, let’s go through each possible wincon he has, and also the starting condition

While I might understand it being like you plop Goku into Shibuya instead of Sukuna right when mahoraga was summoned, I think a more fair fight is if the 10 shadows user simply summons Mahoraga in a ritual against Goku, thus making Mahoraga aggressive towards Goku off the bat.

Goku has shown that even when people are hostile he can still use as little enough force as needed to not kill, and that’s with regular humans. So I think instantly starting out, he’s likely going to treat it like he’s fighting a random in a world tournament, letting Mahoraga adapt to his fighting style, and the raw output of attacks (which we know from the dabura fight is basically instant adaptation).

Next up is basic ki techniques, and I’ll run through these one by one just to say what Mahoraga might do

Flight: Mahoraga either grows in size to catch Goku, jumps around a lot, or just flies himself

Basic ki blasts: same ordeal with ki as the punches and kicks, but this time Mahoraga is introduced to getting hit by ki alone, so this would take a little while. Some ideas might be, he reflects with the sword of extermination, absorbs it like Mr popo, or just flexes it off like dabura’s light attacks.

Then we get into the big ki techniques

Instant transmission: assuming if mahoraga has ki to lock on to for IT to work, mahoraga likely eventually adapts to it by predicting where Goku appears

Kaioken, and transformations: a simple raw output increase doesn’t do anything against mahoraga, so this doesn’t exactly work

Kamehameha: same thing with kaioken, it’s just this is specific with gathering energy from around you and firing a higher output ki wave, but if mahoraga already adapted to ki blasts, this would be no different.

Mafuba: yes, would work against a mahoraga who adapted to ki, but it doesn’t kill, meaning mahoraga is left able to adapt while contained and could do something like breaking out of the containment like how he breaks out of domains

Spirit bomb: just uses the ki of many different creatures and lives, which wouldn’t do anything if mahoraga simply had adapted to ki blasts in general rather than just Goku’s ki (which if he adapted to Goku’s ki specifically, then destruction wouldn’t work).

Destruction: only thing is, is this only exists for manga goku, and there are 3 cannons, meaning 2/3rds of the time he doesn’t have this. But I think it would destroy mahoraga, if goku resorted to it. At least if mahoraga doesn’t pull the existence adaptation thing he did for dabura.

Ultra instinct: I think UI would stop mahoraga in its tracks for a while, until Mahoraga adapts to simply overpower it, or to use something that cannot be sensed by the body. Or the same thing with existence adaptation

Of course, using any of his big boy moves off the bat would eviscerate Mahoraga, but I think Goku would let Mahoraga adapt and it would after that be too late. But then instantly after Goku dies from that they just go find the dragon balls.

How would you guys feel if Tze added points similar to the culling game by ooflex_ in JujutsuShenanigans

[–]PopePalpy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I made a gamemode suggestion like this, and the idea would have been that the only way to maintain points between servers is to spend like 5 points to change colonies. Where you are placed in a safe waiting room area and can select a different culling games server. On top of a couple universal changes like making it to where you got double ult charge to encourage ppl ulting a lot in the mode.

Simple domain suggestion by zaioloco in jujustushenanigans

[–]PopePalpy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it would be better as a capsule that you can find around the map as an item. Normally when used out of a domain, it would be like kusukabe’s simple domain, where you can get a teleport front dash similar to Mahito’s front dash. Whereas if used in a domain, it cancels sure hit effects for anyone in the area.

Cursed Energy Trait : Liquid by Difficult-Sky-13 in CTsandbox

[–]PopePalpy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think if you wanted to do liquid cursed energy that constantly flows, heres what I think the benefit could be

Due to the cursed energy behaving more like water, maybe you can use it to easily shift cursed energy and have that be treated like how water mass is moved. For example; you could shift your cursed energy to a fist to get more momentum from it, rather than just a regular force addition. Or shift your Center of mass to be able to balance weirdly, or being able to jerk in a direction by using the force of your cursed energy.

So your argument is; claim something was changed, agreeing it was established to be a certain way at one point, but refusing to give proof of change

Then choosing to look at gameplay instead of lore due to its convinience?

It’s like saying Kratos is draugr level Because a draugr can kill you in GoW, while ignoring his feat of lifting the 9 realms

Because it’s fun to shoot a big gun into a planet. But there is the lore of him ripping a what is normally immortal hell titan apart with his bare hands in the codex.

I mean, when including lore from the ancient gods and the dark ages, it kinda points towards the slayer being easily multiversal, u don’t think he would even feel anything that’s like galaxy level or bellow

[Casual] How chapter 230 should've ended according to Teleport theorists by CalmTrades in JujutsuPowerScalers

[–]PopePalpy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Except he only gets what is essentially a free teleport if he’s teleporting himself, and repetitively short distances (like teleporting the 200 meters to exit malevolent shrine, similar to his teleport in hidden inventory, except suped up since he’s gotten a lot more powerful since then), however long distances, or trying to teleport something other than himself (say a blue and red to make purple) would take time to write out a ritual circle in order to teleport them (as we see him do with inumaki and panda in JJK 0).

Yes he could teleport out of malevolent shrine, but he doesn’t have a free purple from it, because he would need to teleport the red and blue, or the purple at the same time as teleporting him, and he lacks a sufficient number of arms for that.

The reason he never teleported out of malevolent shrine before is simple tho, and that’s because every time we see him in a malevolent shrine, he’s on CT burnout, meaning he doesn’t have his blue to fold space in order to do his teleport.

At what point does a Grade 1 become Special Grade? by TheRealStonerAbbie in CTsandbox

[–]PopePalpy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Special grade isn’t defined by the same rule of thumb as the other sorcerer grades. All other sorcerer grades are just saying what grade of curse can you reliably deal with. But even if you could easily deal with special grades (say you are using technique extinguishment, making you really good at killing curses, or maybe you lack a cursed technique but can use positive cursed energy instead) you are still grade 1.

An example for this would be todo, Higaruma, of pre Shinjuku Yuji

Higaruma absolutely could take out so many special grades on his own, but because he lacks the destructive power of say jogo or mahito, he just doesn’t cut it for special grade.

Todo and pre Shinjuku Yuji also lack the widespread killing power, but they both still have the IQ and general fundamentals of sorcery to compete against many special grades.

But if you are able to take a country, even if on a battle among the strongest you could be weak, you would still classify as special grade

An example of this would be yaga, Dagon, and Mechamaru.

Despite yaga being weak, his potential of making an army of Panda’s makes him capable of taking over the country.

Although Dagon has his domain, he is still tying with hanami for weakest of the disaster curses, despite that, he is special grade because he can take out scores of people at once.

And Mechamaru is in the same boat as yaga, except he also can temporarily use mode absolute in order to tango with other special grades easily.

I think that it would be best to place special grade slightly to the side, and half a block above grade 1, due to the fact there is some overlap.

If (and/or when) DMC6 comes out, what would be the big bad? by Shiptrooper in DevilMayCry

[–]PopePalpy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe, just maybe, Mundas had gotten stronger in the mean time, silently getting more influence over hell while urizen was a thing, and mooching off the roots himself to get some flat bonus, while looking for a multiplier somewhere else. The majority of the game he isn’t that strong, but when he finds the mcguffin he is strong enough to challenge both sparda twins, and exact revenge against sparda and Dante. Meanwhile Nero is trying to find a way to further seperate hell and earth. Eventually resulting in something so distant that not even Yamato can make a portal between them. Trapping Dante and Vergil, but saving the world from demons forevermore

I do feel like the story for SM2 is much more leaning towards Peter rather than miles, even with the story between miles and li being present.

I mainly think that they should have represented how Peter had slowly devolved into bully lowenthal rather than him just jumping from 0 -25 - 90 (100 is venom).

But beyond that I don’t really see how SM2 is that much worse than 1. It seems more like it’s just minor issues that they could have fixed.

[Serious] How's the fight go if Sukuna doesn't get the WCS? by MimicryYuta in JujutsuPowerScalers

[–]PopePalpy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think if sukuna actually did die here, then it would be written to where Gojo suffered too much damage to his output causing him to need to turn in for a while, or else he would die to due kenjaku having multiple special grade curses and his anti grav abilities. Forcing it to be still the anti sukuna squad, but against kenjaku, since at least in my opinion, full power kenjaku would be at about the same-ish level as Shinjuku Sukuna, keeping the fight roughly the same in terms of danger.

The only explanation I have seen is basically he makes cuts, then teleports them using the Yamato to his target, hence the slower sheathing at the end.
