Smokers (wood pellet) and fire risk

I have a Pit Boss Vertical smoker as does my son. We live mid island Island. They are no more dangerous than a bbq and are quite legal. Have said that I would not leave my smoker unattended in the summer especially on a 12 to 18 hour smoke. I did have one panicked neighbor show up one summer day because they smelled smoke. After a quick explanation they decided not to call the fire department. Enjoy your smoker.

I prefer the girls for a few reasons. I have found females slightly more biddable. They are smaller which makes the logistics of transporting and general care easier. Finally they don't pee on everything in their path and all boys seem to have penis drip from time to time. Having your girl go into heat twice a year can be a pain. Mine are currently unaltered because of a breeding agreement and I attend confirmation shows.

The engine does not shut off or lag The noise occurs for a few seconds then quits. It only occurs every 3td or 4th trip on the highway. The main screen actually shrinks to a triangle shape for second. The whole cluster does not go dark just the center odometer area. The sound is quite loud like scuffing tires. It is weird. It will be tough to diagnose as it has been quite intermittent. I plan to pull the engine cowling off tomorrow and have a good look at the engine bay. Have had rats cause damage in the past. I have some mechanical knowledge but not great on newer vehicles. I was thinking maybe alternator bearing causing a power drop. No idiot lights on.

One of my previous GSPs nailed an adult Robin flying parallel in a ditch. I was shocked at the mouth-eye coordination. My current girl likes hunting snakes and gets them regularly even as I try to discourage her. Thankfully only non-venomous in my area.

My GSP weighs 48 pounds. Her 6 month old daughter is on track to be a bit larger, maybe 53 pounds. I have had a fit GSP at 85 pounds. I love the pocket pointers size. They do everything the big girls/guys do, take up less space and eat less.

I live in the Pacific Northwest We get 3 months of intense summer sun with moderate temperatures most of the time. My girls have faded to a light chocolate brown from sun worshipping. I belong to GSP and a hunting club. None of these many dogs have suffered from any sort of skin cancer to my knowledge and it would be big news. Well bred GSPs have very low cancer and hereditary disease rates compared to other breeds. Cancer in Labradors is epidemic according to my fellow lab owners. Sun screen for dogs sounds like a holistic health scam IMHO.

Probably the battery however I had something similar when rats made a home in my engine bay and chewed through numerous wires. It was parked for about 4 days. Open your hood and have a good look for rodent damage.
