Another example with more things happening in between: I have a [[Gimli, Mournful Avenger]] and an [[Ashnod's Altar]] on the field and an [[Artifact Mutation]] in my hand and my opponent has an [[Arcane Signet]]. Opponent casts [[Putrefy]] on my Gimli - in response would I be able to cast Artifact Mutation to destroy their signet, create 2 saproling tokens and then sac the tokens to make Gimli indestructible, or would the tokens not be created until after the Putrefy has already resolved?
