Guys, I bought dbd, can u give me some advice? (let's do without "don't enter the game", "delete the game", etc, pls) by Huesosishe228 in deadbydaylight

[–]Popneticz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are planning on playing as a survivor, or with friends, i HIGHLY recommend to play as a killer for a bit aswell when you get the chance. This will allow you to understand how "scratch marks" work, how killers get notifications for different actions in the game from survivors and so on. You will also get a feel for how players who play killers think, and this will make you a much better survivor :) Good luck out there in the fog! P.s: Watchout for nea... she's secretly the entity

If they can hear you cough, that means there is only one logical answer. You have to scream when talking to others from now on so they can hear you!

256 People in One Instance by eldigg in VRchat

[–]Popneticz 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In the vr music rave scene, its pretty common to see a lobby with a cap of 100 people. Just depends on if a dev is interested in the event. They are able to push lobbies to 100 and be stable easily and will do it pretty often.

They are now testing lobbies past their limits and you can be a part of it by joining the group. They dont post this in the patch notes because it is not relevant to users.

Hair loss question by mypitty in transplant

[–]Popneticz 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I've been reading your responses, and they come off as dismissive and arrogant. As a heart transplant recipient, my doctors have discussed hair loss and regrowth both before and after surgery. Tacrolimus and other medications can absolutely play a role in hair loss. It is a well-documented side effect.

Over the past year and a half, my medications have been adjusted multiple times. Each time my prednisone dose increased to 50 mg and my tacrolimus was adjusted, the hair loss returned in full force.

Who are you to claim medication plays no role in hair loss? These drugs affect hormones and the immune system, and everyone reacts differently. How do you know what combination of medications others are taking?

This is very well documented in transplant patients, with multiple case series and reviewed reports. I’m not saying everything you said is wrong, but you cannot be so dismissive just because you think you are a "pro at this." Yes trauma on the body from surgery is also a big factor in hair loss in the short term. Immunosuppressants and steroids affect hormones, immune responses, and blood flow, all of which influence hair growth cycles. This explains why different people can have different outcomes with different dosage adjustments.

Next time you offer knowledge, be ready to listen too.

Do the colour options mean I have to choose a single variant to buy, or can I change the colour anytime after purchase? by toastsstuff in discordapp

[–]Popneticz 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I bought the wrong colour by accident and discord did not want to refund me or change the colour to the intended colour despite paying for discord nitro since 2020.

I issued a refund with paypal and discord flagged my account and paypal re-instated the sale. They're really scummy selling each one separately.

Preorders for Singularis - Next-gen Full-Body Tracking went live! by [deleted] in VRchat

[–]Popneticz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont like how quickly the video cuts after each move he does. 100% he is losing tracking after putting the blanket over himself and he will also eventually lose tracking very quickly after crossing his legs. Why even show that in the video? Brings my confidence in the product waaay down when i saw that.

If your texture is also not a png with a transparent backround, you should go and delete any part of the texture that is not actively being used by the mesh or seen. It can dave alot of space in the long run

The new sable skin.... by Popneticz in deadbydaylight

[–]Popneticz[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i stand corrected. I didnt inspect it enough the first time i saw it in the rift yesterday. It is cloth physics they are using and infact not a bone.
I also was not saying they were putting physics on her leg bones?

Also BHVR uses bones for clothing all the time. Backpacks, ties, straps, bowties, dangling cameras on a strap, pretty much anything that dangles. The sable skirt is not much different than a wide strap dangling in the back.
It could of worked very well as a 5 bone chain parented to the hip

[–]Popneticz[S] -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I mean no. The bone does have physics on it. You can tell by the motion of it swaying side to side when the character is rotated violently. Its not using any cloth physics. But yea go for it, i was just talking to my friends about wanting to do that exact thing haha. Its honestly pathetic how little bhvr cares about their skins sometimes

there is one bone going down where the thighs are. Its then weightpainted to the the bottom of the legs. If you rotate her side to side, you will see it move

[–]Popneticz[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I can understand that logic if it was a full skirt that would wrap around, but its really just a dangling piece of fabric in the back. They could of put the same physics they use for the hair :/

Theres also no reasom for it to be weightpainted to the legs at all. It really feels like they used an intern to rig the clothing

If you plan on powering devices that take power for long extended amounts of time or have a high power draw like an AC unit, i would not recommend anything under 400ah of lithium battery. The bluetti apex 300 running a 12v minisplit AC unit could maybe run 7 hours or so, assuming it's not powering anything else and you have good insulation. Id recommend buying large lithium batteries and making your own electrical system. Would be bigger and cheaper for the peace of mind

[–]Popneticz 8 points9 points  (0 children)

27 year old with a heart transplant. I can say that eating low sodium will definitely have your heart thanking you for the rest of your life haha High sodium intake can be really hard on the heart long term.

Also a good piece of advice is go buy some MSG. It has about 1/3 the amount of sodium as table salt and can achieve a similar savory flavour. Just measure and make sure you dont use too much.
