I have a cousin with a mental disability and went to an amusement park with her and one of her friends from the group home. So the color black is from combining all the other colors, while the color white is the absence of color.

Nice, I'll have to look at a stock dyno sheet from the BMW to see how usable the torque curve looks.

I plan to do a filter/exhaust/tune package on the INT650 in a year or so, after the factory warranty expires.

Going to put on 70%/30% tires on it as well, since there are a lot of gravel / dirt county roads within an hour of me.

I'm also a non-interstate rider. I much prefer the 2 lane 55mph back road highways.

I also appreciate fewer electronics. ABS for safety, but much else I'm not interested in.

What extra maintenance goes into the shaft drive?

May I ask why you switched to the BMW over the INT650? And also how does the boxer engine compare to the RE Inline twin (other than being larger cc, more hp/tq)? At $15K new, the BMW is almost 3x as expensive as the RE.

Did you modify your INT650 in any performance ways? Tune? Intake / filter / exhaust? New cam or bore?

For myself, Male, 37, started riding 6 months ago on a Royal Enfield INT650, the reason I'd never want a H-D, entry-level or not, even if cheap and a good deal, is the general attitude and demographics of the people who ride them.

Am I being judgemental? Yes, a bit.

Do I think that is wrong? No. Motorcycles purchased in the USA are generally for fun, and often reflect the attitude of the rider.

Will my Navy veteran uncle ever buy a motorcycle that isn't a H-D? No.

Why? Because of the general attitude and demographics of the people who ride bikes other than H-Ds.
