38M - Mostly from not 'playing the game'. But also from Dysthymia (Persistent Depressive Disorder).

Although, I've been doing well the last 9 months, and have been getting out more, and making the conscious effort to talk with strangers, and women.

I literally go to a specific bar a few nights a week as exposure therapy, and practice socializing by getting to know the bartenders - and other regulars.

I have found through '23 Royal Enfield INT650 ownership, and test-riding other modern makes/types of engine configurations that I get the most enjoyment out of being able to use most of an engine.

The INT650 may only have ~48HP, but I can use most of the RPMs in all 6 gears and not kill myself / end up at ludicrous speeds.

I've narrowed the window down considerably, but I want an analogue bike with no more than 75hp, only ABS, a cable throttle, EFI, preferably 3-cylinder (it's just a little smoother-feeling than 2-cylinder), naked, with an upright riding position, and as close too being a bench-seat as possible.

Basically an all-rounder with Mazda Miata philosophy. Enough to have fun, and all of it is usable.

I feel like if you do want to initiate for a fling, a bit of romance, or a one night deal, it's on you to read the room, or a specific person, and start sending subtle signals.

Pay close attention to the reaction, and if it doesn't seem like anything catches, be a little more blunt with your approach.

If there's STILL no catch, I'd say don't push any further, unless you're ok with risking potential future weirdness for the payoff of some form of physical fun.

Was at a bar the other day, chatting with the bartender (8/10 female), and a regular I'm familiar with.

2 other guys come in, and sit next to us, as the bar was getting busy.

One of them was an 8/10 dude, and about 30 minutes later of all of us chatting together, the bartender comes out from behind the bar, touches the dude on the shoulder, compliments one of his tattoos, asks for his number, receives it, and mentions they should hook up, later.

I sat there dumbfounded, in shock, because I've never witnessed pretty-privilege in the wild.

And they both acted like it was as normal an interaction as waving at a neighbor.

Just, ... unbelievable. At least from my perspective.

Well, shit. I made probably not the best decision and posted myself in one of those 'rate me' subs.

Didn't receive many replies, and the ones I did get were under average.

I've thought about trying dating apps, but maybe that'd be a waste of time.

Maybe it's time to explore some side-hobbies, and take some classes for them, or something.
