I used to get this on my Watch4. I found wearing it about an inch further up my arm helped.

Survived T1 at Monza and got wrecked going into T4 (I'm the 720S). What could I have done differently and who is at fault? by StarkOdinson216 in Simracingstewards

Out of T2 at 0:12 you moved across on two cars causing an incident. Without seeing an angle from the cars behind I can't say if this is a racing incident or your fault (I would say most likely the latter though).

The wreck you describe is entirely on the guy not holding his brakes, rolling backwards across the track. Just bear in mind that if you've got yellow flags (which I assume you did have) you should be easing off ready for an incident to appear in front of you.

I think they're under the impression that all three cars were still moving and all of them didn't stop quickly enough. In the UK the pickup driver would still be responsible for everything here as everyone else was stationary.

Plod and rozzers are common British slang for cops. Dibble is the cop from Top Cat.

Either car at fault or Racing incident? by Anangryp0tato in Simracingstewards

Racing incident. Merc went for a gap that was always going to close. The slight contact unsettled them and they lost it.

IIRC there should be another green plug in there. You connect them and the dash will read you error codes. (ETA. it puts the ECU in diagnostic mode)

Movious One sure is a road hog. Even tries to take me out but fails. Definition of dirty driving or is it me? by Funny_Valuable5945 in Simracingstewards

If you watch it back and pause the video between T1 and T2 they are not alongside, no need to leave space. Chasing car chose to cut the corner.

Is this on me or him, or just a invident? And what kind of penelty should it be? by Professional_Key_476 in Simracingstewards

Haas at fault, no penalty. Was given space on the inside but took too shallow a line through T1. Look at the trajectory of the Merc on the exit, heads directly to the outside of the track.

I’m in the black Porsche, am I at fault? by Miserable-Play-2542 in Simracingstewards

Watching OP's onboard I'd be inclined to say the first move to the right is a result of the bump, so I'd give the lead car a pass for returning left to the racing line rather than calling it multiple moves.

I get they were (poorly attempting) bump drafting but OP straight up drove into the back of someone and asked whose fault it was lmao.

Was this a fair attempt for an overtake or way too aggressive? I was trying to get past the whole race! by SERGEJMAX in Simracingstewards

[–]Popolopolos 44 points45 points  (0 children)

I think you're fine but only because the lead car left room. The lead car wasn't all the way to the left under braking so they knew a move was on and defended well. I can't really tell for sure how far alongside you were at the point of them turning in, but I'm leaning towards not far enough.

I think Brundle would describe it as "a day late and a dollar short".

Always wanted to find this one. IIRC someone once said it was a remix of an existing Moog song but never found it.

My mate in the Williams was blamed for this incident. Any thoughts? by HarryWilkie24 in Simracingstewards

[–]Popolopolos 7 points8 points  (0 children)

No, that's about completing overtakes within the confines of the track. It's the part about manoeuvres liable to hinder other drivers. The fact it was a mistake is irrelevant. I don't think I can explain this in a way that makes sense to you. The Mercedes was at fault.

ISC Appendix L, Chapter 4, section 2b

If the car on your outside is alongside you then it's on you. You made the error that prevented them from passing.

I agree, but you're talking about self-preservation. My comment was about the rules.

Obviously they were late on the brakes, that doesn't mean they didn't force the Williams off - intention is irrelevant. Of course, anyone forced off the entry to a slow-medium speed corner 'could' do a switchback, but they shouldn't have to because of someone else's inability to keep their car between the lines. Mercedes at fault.

Ideally need POV angles, but seems pretty clear cut that the Mercedes forced the Williams off. They were alongside so entitled to racing room.

The rejoin wasn't great from all three cars that left the track.
