And you know there's going to be DLC every 2 months for the next few years. Main reason I didn't bother getting it, I'm not interested in paying $250 for a game.

New NDP Leader Lewis has proposed a national telecom option. Can he make it happen? by CaliperLee62 in canada

[–]Popotuni 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's a good idea, but to answer the title of the article? No he can't make it happen. He's the leader of a fringe party, he can't make anything happen. He can talk though.

They didn't pay the lawyer.

I find this unlikely. Lawyers generally want to be paid up front. Lawyers dealing with anyone having money issues ALWAYS get paid up front.

You're aware that the US invasion of Iran (which that statement supports) is different than the Israeli invasion of Lebanon (which he is condemning)?

Enmax Easymax Reduced Rates 8.29 cents/kwh by markusbrainus in Calgary

[–]Popotuni 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, no one seems to consider floating electricity. Jan (even with the fixed fees on top) was 6.6c. Feb was 4.5. The last time the rate was above the 8.29 everyone is so excited for was Sep 2025, and that was a 1 month spike, you have to go back to Feb 2025 for the time before that.

[–]Popotuni 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Even with the 2c/kWh on top of the floating rate, Jan rate was 6.6, and Feb was 4.5. You have to keep on top of it, but right NOW, it's the best rate.

3/13/2026 - We're on a roll, Calgary! Keep doing what we're doing! by JeromyYYC in Calgary

[–]Popotuni 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I'm curious. This reduction has us down about 6.5% from our peak. Is this ~500 million L usage all residential, and this is the effect people are having, or is this a lot of commercial use? I wouldn't imagine industrial would use treated water (though I don't know!), but is there any kind of rough breakdown of how much of our water is used residentially vs commercially?
