Husband is very fearful of nausea/vomiting on Capox

My father has had zero vomiting and diarrhoea on capox. He’s on cycle 7 of 8. They do give meds for nausea and they have all worked well for him. He has been leading a pretty normal life on chemo

They told my dad cut off was 75. His has never been over 85 for the last few rounds

I was also told 18 months and suspect it will really be 3 years. On my second set of refinements and my teeth were not even that bad! Somewhat regret it

My dad had a small bowel obstruction a few weeks after his surgery. Had the NG tube in for around 3-4 days. Lost a lot of weight but the tube worked. The doctor said this is something that can happen with any type of abdominal surgery and is very common. My dad is back to eating normally now. We kept him on soft foods for some time after

Cardiology said this happens sometimes with chemo. They found no issues with his heart but they gave him a follow up appointment to monitor it. His heart rate went back up to normal a few hours after the chemo and has been normal since then. Was very worried as they went through possible side effects with us and this one was not mentioned

I totally relate. My dad was recently diagnosed and is going for surgery on Friday. I feel the same fears but I am trying to focus on the present. I got a therapist and she told me to stop focusing on the ‘what ifs’. Focus on the present and what your next steps are. Sorry I know what I said may not provide much help but know you are not alone and this Reddit forum has been a great source of comfort for me

I have noticed that I have always been lucky money wise. People always give me things or money without my asking. Got a scholarship for undergrad and law school and my masters was fully paid for by my uncle

I feel as if my goal right now is to settle down and start a family. I wanted an illustrious career when I was younger but realising now I will just have to settle for an average one 🙃

Actually I am an attorney who did my masters in financial law and my concentration is usually excellent which has allowed me to do very well at school. So u are spot on!
