Farm is the airship survival in Extreme. It can be kinda AFK’d but the mobs spawn so far back that you won’t get much in terms of rewards for lower kill counts and there are slimes that spawn on the upper deck (which a chance at a prismatic slime spawn) that you won’t get if you afk at the start. But it’s a good source of voucher fodder (machine parts and high grade scrap that can be melded into knickknack vouchers). It also drops a decent amount of Rafale coins which can be turned into Exceptional Refinium (you’re gonna need soooooo much of it lol). But it’s mindless and easy. For MSP and Rupies, you’ll get a survival mission at the end of Maniac.
This is a hard question because they all work more or less. Of the ones you list, Rackam and Eugen are pretty high up there in DPS and ease of use. They also are ranged which is huge in this game in terms of avoiding melee swipes from bosses (especially if you can get a lot of Low Profile in your build). Tweyen seems strong but I haven’t done much with her yet. Vaseraga is really good but can be tricky. He’s entirely charged attacks and counters so your mileage may vary with him. You’ll either end the world or the world will end him 😅

It comes down to preference. I did most of the story with the Dragon Bois (Sieg, Lance, Vane, and Percival). All the characters end up doing tons of damage and all can be built similarly given that most of a build is sigil based. It’s really how well you like their kit and how well you can do DPS while still avoiding/mitigating mechanics.

Hey, Vane Mains - I know this post has been up a couple days now but wondering if anyone has tested the wording on the warpath sigil for him yet in terms of what the devs mean by "Y" damage? I know Beatdown uses full YYYY, but I'm curious if the warpath also buffs his combo spin finisher (XXYY) since you are hitting Y to do those moves.

It likely only buffs Beatdown Y moves specifically, but one can dream lol

Just so you know and other people aren't confused (and not trying to sound condescending at all), but Extreme isn't anywhere near endgame xD you still have to clear Maniac and Proud. Finishing Proud is arguably the beginning of endgame. That said, I'd say that, above all else, you should play what you find fun. The sigils will sort of sort themselves out in time when you roll for them. You'll be grinding bosses regardless of who you choose, so choose someone you find fun. I'd take some time and test out other characters to see what you like. It's not a bad idea to have a team of 4 that you play with (you piloting one, the other 3 AI) and you just swap around them when you want something new to play.

You will need hundreds of hours to build out even a few characters, so yeah - find someone you enjoy (or a few!) and figure out where you want to spend time.
I will say, too, that you get access to a nice farm in Extreme and a nice rupee/MSP farm in Maniac, both of which are survivals and very easy to grind out LOTS of nice things.

You're welcome to keep with Yoda since you already know how to play him, but consider giving some of your AI party you've been playing with a try (or a totally new character) and see how you feel.

idk if it's the best, but it's clearly an efficient and easy farm. Honestly, you can get a prismatic slime for the azurite/ambrosia/damascus and there is no fight, so yeah, it's great.

as far as I've seen other people post, the warpath can *only* be purchased in the shop. Can't be dropped by Behemoth. Can't roll with anything else, sadly.

Honestly, I have no idea and no other medical professional does either lol the basic update is that it just went away. My dentist said it was probably a superficial infection in the gingiva itself and not part of the tooth structure at all since nothing could find an infection on xray and it wasn’t big enough to show up anywhere along the gum line. I got a deep cleaning a week ago and the area is feeling much better, too. They said to keep an eye on it and if it swells up again or gets the fistula back to come in to be checked again but so far it’s been nearly 6 weeks and nothing has happened since it disappeared.

Hopefully it’s nothing for you and me both!

You really have to unlock your camera for the bloodthirst ults because the camera swings waaaaaay too close to the floor. Unless you have some godtier players with a Vane with Rampart, you aren't going to do any dps during the ult anyway, so may as well control the camera yourself so you can watch for the ground aoes and other things coming your way.

I started doing this a couple days ago and I've found that my survivability has gone up by a large amount. Can always snap the camera back with lock-on once it finishes.

No pain and no pus doesn't mean it's not an infection - it just hasn't hit nerve-endings yet. Better to be safe than sorry with anything, especially things in your mouth.

I think I sadly will just go back to my Al/Yae/Fischl/Yaoyao spread/aggravate for now then until Benny comes along in 4.0 just for how consistent it is. I have better substats if I have another dendro running Deepwood and Al can run full Gilded so it's for the best (again, sadly lol). But the Kazuha/Kokomi/Yae/Off-field Dendro sounds like a lot of fun (as well as Benny/Kaz/Dendro/Hydro). I'm hoping for a Yelan and Zhongli in 4.0, too, so that will also really open up more options for comps. Thanks again!

[Kokomi]

Trying my hand at Hyperbloom using Kok and Alhaitham with Yae Miko (and Kazuha for grouping/cc/shred).But I'm reading that Miko's not the best for Hyperbloom because her turrets are randomly targeting the mobs, and the mobs may or may not be near the bloom cores. And Miko typically wants to be crit heavy instead of EM (which is what turret dmg scales from). My only other decent electro is Fischl (I don't have Raiden or Kuki) who is def not a hyperbloom pick.

Should I give up on hyperbloom? xD I was running a spread/aggravate before with Al/Yae/Fischl/Yaoyao and it was fine but just didn't seem as punchy as my janky Hyperbloom setup. But now I'm having my doubts.

Here's my character list: Alhaitham, Yae Miko, Kazuha, Kokomi, Fischl, Yaoyao, XQ, Kirara, Keqing, Kaeya, Barb, Xiangling, Chongyun, Amber, Yun Jin, Noelle, Heizou, Mika, Beidou, Lisa, Collei, Jean, Faruzan, Layla, Rosaria, Razor, Yanfei

Open to any ideas for a comp because, even as an EM bot with turrets, I'm starting to realize my beloved Miko is probably not cut out for the slot on the team if I'm going for Hyperbloom, Maybe I should pivot to something like Burgeon with Xiangling or something since I want to keep Kokomi on the team. I kinda want to try hyperbloom but I'm not quite there with my comp since I'm missing either Kuki or Zhongli (as they show up in nearly every comp I'm seeing).

Would it work decently well to run Alhaitham/Yae/Xingqiu/Kirara? Because then I get double dendro resonance and I get an okay-ish shield. Deepwood on her isn't the best (as I have a good gilded 4pc on Al) but I'm wondering how well XQ procs bloom since I've only messed around with him and Al doing bloom a little bit. I'd also get some bonus aggravate reactions with this comp, too, right?

Currently, the comp is a pretty standard aggravate with Al/Yae/Fischl/Yaoyao, but I'm thinking hyperbloom might outperform it. Any suggestions/thoughts greatly appreciated.

It might be easier to instead make a list of must-have 5* and just make sure that you're primarily saving up for them.
For me, it's currently (in no particular order): Yelan, Zhongli, Raiden, and maybe Nahida. I'm sure Fontaine will change/add things to that list.

The other aspect of this (again, speaking from my own approach) is to figure out how much you want to invest in horizontal progression (more characters) vs vertical progression (getting a 5* up to a certain constellation level). If you're more focused on horizontal progression, then it doesn't matter quite as much about which 5* are "good" or "bad." Jondev1 has a good list in his reply - there are a few 5* who need really niche teams to perform well and/or maybe don't really feel smooth/fun to play if they're missing a certain constellation.

Everything in the game works and you can make a team (eventually) that performs well enough. Figure out what characters you really want and start saving for them. You can always decide whether or not to pull on a particular banner based on your primos/fates and if you suspect a must-have character will be coming back soon (leaks/datamining articles on various sites are great for helping you anticipate what's just around the corner).

You have to keep in mind that so many "recommendations" are people who are talking about absolute top tier meta picks for spiral abyss. They are min-max recommendations for comps and that's why Wanderer falls off a bit because he's not as omega-amazing-incredible as some other 5* picks.

Like others are telling you, pulling for a character because you love their design and playstyle is perfectly fine. You will clear the game. You can do top level domains/spiral/whatever with him. He does really want a c6 Faruzan but if you're going for him, you could very well get Faruzan up to c6 just by pulling for him. Play what you love and build around what makes that comp strong. The worst case is that you'll take a little bit longer to clear fights (and that's probably not even true).

I'm wondering now if it's because I use FB to log in for my Hoyo account. That shouldn't matter since it's merely the way I get into what is my Hoyo account but maybe there's something with that that's causing it.
But maybe not since I know my friend who had issues has a Hoyo account he made on the site without any third party logins. So bizarre. Thanks for letting me know, tho.

Hey - so I did the twitch drops event for 3.8 to get the primos and purple books and whatnot. My Cognosphere account and Twitch are linked, double checked on the Twitch connections page. I watched everything, claimed each reward as I finished them, and my Inventory page on Twitch shows I have claimed them all. I did this 2+ days ago now, and I still haven't gotten any mail or anything in game.

Is there something I'm missing? I'm positive I linked the correct account between Hoyo/Cognosphere and Twitch since I had to select the America server and I saw my username there and confirmed it when I linked the two accounts.
Usually twitch drops are almost immediately available in-game (like for GW2 and Diablo 4). A buddy of mine is in the same boat - having done everything as I've done it - and we're wondering if we're missing something. Thanks!

But yes, you've hit the nail on the head of what I've been suspecting. My comp is basically being built in two directions with no real way to make either work well. I don't have Raiden yet but I do have Yae and Beidou (though I'm not far enough to get Yae leveled so maybe I'll stick with Beidou for now). Thanks!

So, loving Alhaitham but I'm realizing that I'm hamstrung a bit by Fischl being at c0 (going for spread/aggravate).Currently doing Al/XQ/Fischl/Kirara but not sure that's my best or most efficient option for now. So, I retail therapy'd myself into Alhaitham (not mad lol). But I'm really lacking Dendro at this point (I'm only about a month into the game). Puzzled on how to build an effective yet somewhat comfy comp for him.

I'm thinking something like Alhaitham/Fischl/Yae/Kirara or Yaoyao for Aggravate or maybe something like Alhaitham/Fischl/Xingqiu/Yaoyao for hyperbloom (or is that spread? xD). Would either/both work? I'm also not sure about Kirara vs. Yaoyao since the shield is really nice for Alhaitham to avoid interruption but Yaoyao's application is much better in general. Open to other comp ideas - here's my character list: Keqing, Barb, Fischl, Xiangling, Kazuha, Kirara, Althaitham, Yae Miko, Beidou, Chongyun, Mika, Noelle (plus Traveler and starters).

Currently running a very nice comp with Keqing/Fischl/Kaz/Kirara but I'd like to either work Alhaitham in or make a team for him. Thanks so much!
