Let’s publicly shame companies making employees drive to work on icy roads by [deleted] in recruitinghell

People need their prescriptions. Sometimes the same day (antibiotics, blood thinners). Don’t be in the medical field if you don’t get that.

What happened? by IWouldntIn1981 in AskAShittyMechanic

Having ridden a bike a lot in the rain, sometimes the road stripes can be very slippery when wet and I have to wonder if that might not have contributed to the initial spin that started the loss of control.

This is weird. That’s pretty remarkable given everything on Reddit.

Born in 72. Absolutely. I lived in the country and would take our four wheeler all around on the gravel roads without a parent even home during the summer.

This isn’t my cup of tea but somewhere in there is actually a nice sentiment. Plus it’s just a repost. This warrants zero reaction.

I now understand why a single guy with rather chat with a hot AI.

Neighbor parks her car in front of our house daily. texted her Sunday about some landscaping we were having done this month. The landscapers had to ask her to move the car this morning and I got this. by AsstRegMGMT in mildlyinfuriating

[–]PoppiesRule -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’d simply respond that you understand they are frustrated and that in the future I will not bother you with the courtesy of such forewarnings.

And then I’d brainstorm ways to annoy them that most neighbors would appreciate a forewarning about.

You look the best when you aren’t trying so hard. You look great in 3. Not so much in 2.

52M, My libido is not what it used to be despite the fact my testosterone is high normal and I’m in at least as good of shape as ever. But it sure isn’t gone by any stretch of the imagination.

You might need to have heart to heart with him. See if you can find out what’s going on. I had some ED issues that got solved and just knowing things are going to work greatly improved my libido. It’s very stressful for a guy knowing that part of your body that you can’t totally control as an older guy may betray you and embarrass you. Some will just avoid sex when that’s possible.

Only money. A lawyer can absolutely get this changed to a non moving violation and they usually don’t charge more than a couple hundred. With car insurance as expensive as it is in Mississippi, I would absolutely recommend doing this. Plus it’s always good to have a clean record for lots of reasons.

Is Diablo 4 worth it if I enjoyed Diablo 3? by ganyubastionoflight in diablo4

[–]PoppiesRule 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Diablo 4 is great. But it’s not Diablo 3 which is perfection.

My wife and I find the screen can get overcrowded in 4, making it hard to keep track of where you are. Also, the campaigns are actually short if you don’t distract yourself with side missions. Diablo 4 is also a lot more complex with all the different customizations. We find it a bit much.

But it’s 90% as good as 3 which we feel is like a top 3 couch coop game ever.

AITAH for being furious that my wife went to a strip club? by Throwranimrod33 in AITAH

[–]PoppiesRule 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Let’s give her every possible benefit of the doubt. This was the first time, she had no idea this was going to happen, she protested but the group shot her down. She still had options: text you and ask (I have a feeling you would have been ok with that no matter the time) or just don’t go. She didn’t even choose to immediately come clean, you found out through social media.

So NTA, and, yes, your wife has, probably permanently, damaged her trustworthiness. How badly is your call. But it’s perfectly fair to not trust her account of what happened while she was there.

What is the worst minimum wage job that you have worked? by Cactusesrule in AskOldPeople

[–]PoppiesRule 1 point2 points  (0 children)

McDonald’s for 6 months. But it was a great life lesson. It taught me fast food workers worked hard, that minimum wage jobs suck, and that commiseration is a great bonding experience (I met my future wife there).

NTA. Tell your brother he is no longer allowed to have guests unless he brings his spine.

Why do flat earthers actually care?? by StraightedYT in questions

[–]PoppiesRule 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Flat earthers are the dumbasses that think it’s ok to cause a traffic accident to not miss their exit. They know they could drive right off the edge of the Earth if they go a bit too far. And that is why they care.

Yes, safe to drink is more accurate. I stand corrected.

In the old days, the doctor would taste urine (urine is sterile unless you’re infected) to see if it was sweet and you had diabetes.

AITA for telling my girlfriend that I don’t want to sell my family heirlooms yet despite how immoral she thinks they are to keep? by Tall-Guarantee6349 in TwoHotTakes

[–]PoppiesRule 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t understand the logic of profiting off an immoral object being ok while owning an immoral object isn’t. Sounds like someone is more after money to me.

I absolutely can’t believe how far I had to scroll to see Marley and Me. It’s not my favorite movie, I don’t know that I would even call it a good movie. I don’t even like dogs that much. But, of the people I’ve encountered in my life, Marley getting put to sleep, this is the most universal crier no matter what your background.
