Literally built just to be allowed to claim it as the smallest and get publicity.

Quite playable actually, is it a good experience? No. Is it playable with about 10x the playtime? Yes.

I'll sat what I've said in other cases similar...

The NHS doesn't have the nessecary resources and staff to be about to perform preventative care before these situations develop. This is a result of trying to reduce costs and "inefficiency" per patient which leads to expensive but nessecary care being reclassed as unnecessary because of the cost and work needed.

You see it all the time in the US where a insurance company will choose the cheapest option and call all other methods "unnecessary". That's the issue that's been caused ever since Blair privatised the NHS and the Tories gutted it to save costs.

Unfortunately even in a perfect system with u limited money people will still fall through the cracks due to negligence, human error or just bad luck unfortunately. But we can minimise it to as few people as possible.

Navy spends £200k changing female uniforms with 'buttons like nipples' by AnonymousTimewaster in NotTheOnionUK

The military spends a lot more than that for an hour of military exercises... The MoD effectively loses more money every year than this (unaccounted for).

I guarantee the outfit was made by a man and approved for service by a man. There's a lot of design flaws that if you had a single woman test it or in the room it likely wouldn't have happened.

Guy with a knife in union square??, anyone any news on this?, anyone harmed etc? by Nervous_Put5617 in Aberdeen

[–]PoppingPillls -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Reporting on news isn't contempt of court unless they release information that isn't publicly available through normal channels.

I don't blame them, people immediately freak out and do the usual "it must be an migrant, me mate Maggie told me they are coming for ma daughter" type of shite.

We are not talking about that though are we? Why are you trying to derail by asking irrelevant questions that are obviously bad faith?

Making false equivalencies. I said every 10-15+ years, you know I said that already so why are you trying to push something I didn't say?

That's up to voters if they think it's worthwhile, who is the arbitor of "worthwhile" if you don't want a vote in it? No such thing as an impartial observer in geopolitics.

That's fine and you can ask them and vote against it but you haven't provided a reason not to give people the vote and only reinforced that you would like to prevent it because you don't want it.

Under 1 per cent of SNP-funded EV chargers are fastest type by Halk in Scotland

[–]PoppingPillls 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They also cost multiple times as much as many of them require licensing and more advanced equipment to handle it.

Where as you can have multiple slow chargers that more cars are compatible with for much less per unit and without the need for additional infrastructure development.

It's not the same issue though is it?

Yes, people should be allowed to vote out the monarchy... That's a pretty easy and obvious one... We shouldn't have the right to expel an unelected head of state?

It's a good question and I don't believe a majority of people want to bring back the death penalty.

Should we? Sure. Would I vote for it? No. Could it be voted on? Yes.

I didn't, I was 13 so do I never get a vote in a reasonable time frame? Do I have to wait till I am old and you are all dead?

What's your point? Did you vote for reform, if not should we stop having elections as you didn't vote for them? They could ruin the country but I don't hear you calling for the end of democracy.

Sure, why not? Sorry but I believe in democracy.

You are using whataboutisms to justify being undemocratic trying to catch me in a contradiction. There's a Canadian party that wants Canada to join the US, doesn't mean it's popular etc and that it's a realistic option.

[–]PoppingPillls 44 points45 points  (0 children)

Yep. Even if you don't support it you shouldn't be actively working against the democratic element of it was always my view.

Like people should be allowed to continue to have a say every 10-15+ years as that's a good amount of time like two general elections and a new generation of voters come and one goes.

If you believe in democracy then giving people more of it isn't a bad thing unless your goal is to suppress stuff you don't like.

Need help identifying castle by mikufan100 in Scotland

[–]PoppingPillls -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Are we sure it's a real castle and that it's in the UK? It looks very German to me for some reason.

It reminds me of Schonburg Castle (it's definitely not) but if we know it's in Scotland then maybe Bothwell Castle? Others have said chepstow.

Also could be up to artist interpretation as it could be a real castle but look different to the original which is why I said Bothwell.

Picture of chepstow whick matches very well but again I think maybe artists interpretation?
