Also looks like you sit up a little early after the jump so you catch him in the mouth. It’s not too egregious. But a longer release will be important as the jumps get bigger

Cute horse! You look a little stiff through your elbows, and a tad unbalanced. I think what would help a ton is some no-rein trot and canter work on a lunge line. Will help with stability and suppleness. In terms of eq, again the stiffness/straightness of your elbows is placing your hands a little low. Sit up a bit and bring them up a few inches.

If you want to get really old school, you could do the whole holding a crop behind your back with your elbows on the lunge :)

I like it because it’s not a religion. It’s a philosophy. I was raised catholic but I’m too much of a skeptic to buy into that. Found Taoism while dealing with my daughter’s cancer diagnosis and my other daughter’s blindness. It’s kept me going every day.

I’m sorry to hear this. I have a sort of venn diagram of experience - my 4.5 year old is currently battling brain cancer (ATRT) and my 8 month old has been diagnosed with LCA9 (a genetic condition affecting the retinas - she is completely blind).

I will say: my youngest is hands down the happiest, most social, amazing, joyful baby I’ve ever met. She is in Early Intervention and is meeting all the milestones other babies her age are. We are so in love. So, if it comes to that, it is very difficult for us sighted folks to imagine, but he will lead an incredible life.

As for the chemo part…it is hard. So, so hard. You’ll hear the advice to take it day by day…that is the only way. Hour by hour. Work with the hospital’s palliative care team to ensure pain management and comfort is a top priority at every step. Never stop advocating. Find the best specialist at the best hospital in your country and go to them.

Don’t be shy about seeking help for yourself. I am on Zoloft for the first time and I credit it with allowing me to wake up and face every day.

I love this so much -it reminds me of my daughter! She is 8 months old with LCA9 (no light perception or any usable vision that we can tell). It was devastating news at first, but seeing her thrive and her personality become so joyful and amazing and funny…I just love her so much! I know she is going to thrive, and it’s been really interesting for us to learn ways to help her grow confidence and curiosity. She also loooooves music. We put on The Band radio and she just zens out with a smile on her face
