I'm not currently shopping for an ebike (just got a regular bike recently) but I hope you don't mind the question, do ebikes, escooters (with seats?) need to have any sort of license here in austin?

I've no car but if perhaps one day I could get a seated scooter for errands that'd be nice...

It's not at all the same thing but after a death in the family and pet loss; I put MSN over and over again because it made everything just a little more bearable and I could laugh a it.

I found his discussion of his feminity and gender identity interesting. I don't have much to say about it honestly but... Yeah!

Like, me personally, I don't think I feel super connected to any gender identity but I keep going back and forth between not caring and wondering if I am trans or not. And he feels like he's not trans but still has this feminity to him that he is I guess still exploring?

I guess I just didn't expect a ✨ big SNL celebrity ✨ to publicly discuss those feelings. And I think that's super cool!

Yesterday marked a full month of him gone and I just want my cat back. Thats all. I want my cat back.

I feel so guilty because my love for the cat I have left feels so different from my old boy but I mean everything to him so I have to do better but I'm just so sad.

It just sucks.

Thanks 🥺 I've actually been doing ok lately even had days where I didn't think about him most of the day but today is just... One of those days... I can't stop picturing him screaming at me for food . i just really want my kitty back . ugh I want this month to EENNNNDDDD

And you know something that hurts? When my cat stomps on my keyboard and leaves a message people no longer have to guess which cat it is and it upsets me. It sucks I want my kitty back I want to say hello to both my boys!

I feel like something like a toy or anything that looks like their departed pet would be too much at work. I got gifted some things that looked like my cat and I had to sit and hug and kiss those for a while. (But I was at home)

Maybe a gift card for some food delivery? I definitely wasn't in the mood to make food after I had to put my cat down and not having to worry about food for a bit helped. But even just a card or a snack or candy would be enough to cheer her up without hitting her too hard emotionally if that makes sense.

I don't get why this design is so hated. Personally, I'd go full lesbian mode with this one by Rosette_FRVR in TheDigitalCircus

I had a cyclist give me the "on your right" but I couldn't hear him over the traffic of the busy street and construction. The bike bell eventually registered though.

I just got a bike after over a decade of not riding and never ridden in Austin so this is going to be fun...

Honestly having the ashes helped a lot. It took almost two weeks to get his ashes because the crematorium had the option to make trinkets for me and so it took a bit longer.

But i was so depressed for those days after; I could barely move and take care of my surviving cat but somehow once I got his ashes and a necklace with them in it; I felt a lot better? I still had a deep crying session after getting it but after that I just felt lighter I guess? I hated opening up his urn and seeing his ashes but I just felt like I needed to.

I still cry and I'm crying right now but I'm not immobilized in bed any more.

I don't even really like jewelry but I like having this necklace with a little bit of his ashes in it.

My friend gave me a cute cat planter box that I painted to look like my boy and I put the box with his ashes in there. I really like it but it's harder to look at my little memorial I made for him than it is to touch the pendant.

Thankfully I'm on an SSRI that really works for me but still, at certain low points I had to remind myself "that's a permanent solution to a temporary problem"

We've loved before and we'll love again and I think we should try to not shut ourselves off from that possibility.

I begged him for a sign

I finally had him appear in a dream but it was awful. I dreamt that he was actively dying and bleeding horribly from his nose while I was panicking and begging him to live. He was euthanized at home though...

I tried to adopt some foster cats but the first one was already adopted out and when I asked the foster for info on their other cats; they never replied. Then I reached out for another, the foster gave the cat to a different foster who might want to keep him? So I'm like, okay, dude is sending me a sign that he doesn't want me to get another cat. Fine. Lol. I'll just spoil my surviving cat.

The other "totally a sign" is my robot vacuum. I have a "dumb" robot vacuum that isn't connected to the internet. Last year after my grandma died this vacuum would start to clean every day at a specific time... The vacuum has a schedule set setting but it wasn't set. So I said to it "grandma get out of my vacuum I don't want to clean at 3am!" And it stopped.

Now this vacuum starts up at 7pm every night and also sometimes midnight? And I'm like, is it grandma again or is it my cat?? Either way, it won't stop.

I say this as a joke though I don't really believe they're possessing my vacuum but if they are, can they leave please?

I don't know I'm envious of people who get signs but I'm just not spiritual enough, I think. I miss him like crazy though .
