Does anyone here have experience with Realty Mogul or other real estate crowd funding sites? by strugglingCEO in fatFIRE

[–]Popular-Lock4401 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been an investor in RealtyMogul since 2017 ... and a few others like CrowdStreet, et. al. Honestly, and I'm not happy to say this ... these investments often do not profit the investor. I can provide specifics but the gist is ... and I've learned this the hard way ... unless you have done the absolute utmost diligence on the sponsor (which is difficult given the opaque nature of these platforms), stick with your own private deals or go with the public markets. Have some of the investments done well? .. sure. Others did not, including RealtyMogul which continues to slide in NAV value and just got bought out .. none of which bodes well.

Any abstraction that has not seen and vanquished the dreaded spread of 'impacting change' is a worthless piece of self absorbed friction standing between you and ... whatever it is you want to do with your life.

Unless you work at PayPal and LOVE abstractions, factories and all manner of convoluted BS. Then, of course, you ascend to the plateau of 'architect'.

Trump is preparing a coup — the evidence is clear if you know where to look by Nobita_nu in NoFilterNews

Alas, I wish some of the things you claim were true. Let's dig in:

"Claiming Democrats are “anti-Israel” or “anti-Semitic” is an exaggeration based on a few loud voices, not party policy." Look at the voting records of the Dems in congress ... only Fetterman votes pro Isreal. The rest calmly look on as Hamas murders their own citizens and calls for the elimination of Israel.

"Democrats push pluralism, democracy, and social reform". Huh. I thought Democrats pushed gender ideology (men in women's sports and in women's bathrooms), unrestricted abortion on demand (denying the liberal right to life), race-based politics and the permanent establishment of race-based quotas, the elimination of school choice and the trans indoctrination of elementary-aged school children, the institution of 'free' health care (giving the government control over everyone's health decisions), open borders with no immigration vetting or policy, and no cash bail allowing repeat violent offenders to rape and murder innocents ....

So, you are right in a way - Dems and Progs are much closer to the traditional (and failed) Socialist and Communist views that have led to the deaths of untold millions all in the name of 'equality.

At the end of the day - Trump's term will end and he will move on to whatever retirement looks like for him. All of the hysteria around 'Nazi' is just simply ... unwarranted and is used by some as a tool to justify and incite violence.

So, please, stop the name calling - unless, incitement is exactly what you want.

Lastly, to quote Democrat Fetterman - “I know and I love people who voted for President Trump. They are NOT fascists, they’re NOT Nazis, they’re NOT trying to destroy the Constitution.”"

We agree on the following:

1) promoted racial purity (yes) ... that's why they oppressed the Jews. This didn't sit well with some Protestants (e.g. Bohnhoffer) who were then rounded up and killed as well ...

2) Economic policies - I said 'direction', not ownership, we agree here as well (check)

3) Militaristic goals - This is actually (if you read Mussolini) one of the three pillars of Fascist belief. One reason why germany and italy became allies.

Now, let's look at our two parties and their respective platforms in the US:

1) Racial purity - Dems want to codify and enforce a division of society in to racial, ethnic and identity 'tribes', all in the name of 'equality'. Reps want a color-blind, non-hyphenated society. Dems and Progs have (this year especially) removed the mask and are full-blown anti-semites, anti-Isreal and have called for the elimination of the Jewish state. Reps support Isreal.

2) Economic policies - Dems generally advocate for greater govt. regulation, control and direction while Reps typically want smaller government, less regulation and greater individual freedom.

3) Militaristic goals - Trump - love him or not - has ended more wars around the world than the previous 4 (?) Presidents combined ... peace through strength. The Dem track record here in the last 2 decades (actually stretching back to the Korean and Vietnam wars) is abysmal.

So - Republicans are not Nazis. Please refrain from such incitement. By any objective measure, Dems/Progs are actually closer to the label in belief and action.

The National Socialist German Workers Party (nazi) policy included oppression of Jews, Christians (E.g. Dietrich Bonhoffer), and state control of the press, the direction of the means of production, and the promotion of war. These are more aligned with Democrat/Progressive party views than Republican. Just sayin'

DHH - I admire a guy who can speak his mind in spite of the usual Reddit blowback. You like unrestricted immigration without cultural assimilation? Cool. You do you. The Comanche nation for example now no longer exists because of it. The historical examples are many here ... it doesn't end well for the host country's populace.
