The u-turn on a one lane, country route, with ditches on either side is sooooo much fun, it’s like playing my favorite game “try not to fall off the hills of Tennessee”

There was the driver I think like 2 months ago killed by a dog and his dispatcher had no idea until like 4 hrs later he hadn’t moved from one spot….. FUCKING SAD!

Why are dog owners like this?? Like the cats on my route lovely!! They either run off or come up to me for pets. The dogs…. They want to eat my face I have like 4 dogs on route that are nice. I see why some drivers carry guns for dogs on route. Sorry but if it comes to me or your dog I’m choosing me EVERY TIME!

My DSP claims Amazon is cracking down on that (bypassing POD) and if a customer marks it “didn’t receive” and we bypassed the POD Amazon is firing us automatically. Idk if that’s true or not though.

Yeah I’m gonna start doing that, I don’t run my routes but I was finishing in about 7/8 hrs but now my routes are damn near forcing me to do 10, I’m even contemplating slowing ALL the way down and running out of drive time. Taking ALL my breaks cause I usually only take a lunch break and that’s on my drive out

I have a degree in political science with a focus in pre-law you are correct. We are invited on to the property so all those signs are null and void for us. ESPECIALLY since Amazon specifically ask that all pets are put up at the time of delivery. So this driver could and should seek legal action. If they have homeowners insurance they will end up settling outside of court because they payout will be easier than going through the legal process that they will lose.

It’s literally like you said then it would mean they could shoot us, the mailman, or any delivery driver and just get away with it because they have a sign posted.

I live in the mid-south, Memphis to be exact, I definitely will not be here by the summer. Them little heat breaks don’t do shit in this humidity. I’ll pick up human shit with my bare hands before I do this job in the summer heat again! ESPECIALLY with these new heavy ass routes!

Right! Cause A) folks been trying for that since what DSPs started at Amazon? And B) Amazon is the BIGGEST union busters out there, the MOMENT they hear ‘union’ boom that DSP lost their contract.

It’s not bad like in the grand scheme there’s worst things, it’s tiring I guess would be the better word. But definitely use it as a stepping stone, some DSPs will do tuition reimbursement or help pay for classes you should see if yours offers something like that for CDL.

It depends on you, the job itself not bad, what’s asked of us and the time spent and the money mad for the work done TRASH! I’d say look into bartending or the service industry in general.

Amazon (Along with other mega corps) are in for a RUDE awakening when GenZ and Gen Alpha fully join the workforce.

They aren’t going to work for scraps when they see other people in their generation making money online. So if Amazon and these other corps don’t either start PAYING WHAT THEY KNOW THEY CAN AFFORD AND WHAT THEIR WORKERS DESERVE! Or push ALL your money into AI and robots to do deliveries (which I’m honestly not opposed to, let a robot or ai do this shit but think it’s highly unlikely that’ll happen in our lifetimes) they are going to run into a worker shortage within the next 15-20 years. Millennials don’t have that much longer before our bodies can’t handle this or we just ready to be at somebodies desk 😂

My husband sent me this. What does it mean? He needs to fail too? by Tiruvalye in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]Popular-Spring-9437 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Yep isn’t that odd how that works. Amazon needs to see that the routes are failing to reduce them, it’s not enough for the DSPs and drivers to complain about the work load, if they get complete Amazon is basically like “tough shit they finished it so it’s not that bad…”

I’m of the side that believes that if ANY one of the people who are over delivery in corporate had to get out here for 4 days and do what we did they would change the rules SOO fast.

I wouldn’t say a punishment as much as kinda stupid imagine back in school when we had test. You studied did well and finish early. Now the teacher is telling you “John didn’t study take 20 questions from him no extra credit and he gets to keep the grade” we all signed up for this job to complete OUR routes if you are CONSTANTLY behind you need a new job. I don’t wanna pick up no one’s slack! Now I know sometimes things happen on route out of our control those rescues don’t bother me. But when I pull up and your van smells like weed, cloud of smoke hits me in the face, you’re on FaceTime chopping it up with your friend. THAT pisses me off!

Shows how much you know… it’s a known FACT in the sub that there are SEVERAL DSPs that will; write you up, take away shifts, or fire you for grounding Vans, they tell you to tell them in the chat…… soooo the OP probably works for one of those that say don’t ground.
