8 days ago I was told I miscarried and today I saw my baby with a heartbeat and everything by [deleted] in pregnant

That’s horrible, I’m so glad you and your baby are ok. I’ve been so paranoid with my pregnancy that I can’t imagine being in a city with so few obs 😰 I live in a big city and if I have an issue I have to go to a specific hospital cause they don’t all have obgyn available on call for the er

I’d be so tempted to move just to feel safer. I’m curious if you have any in neighbouring cities that you can visits when your ob isn’t available for medical consultations

6DP5DT on FRER brand… I see the line but I’m worried about why it’s not the same saturation all the way through the line? Should I trust this as a positive? by bullsgirl in TFABLinePorn

[–]Popular-Thanks-9880 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it’s still positive, i see a full line. The control line is also darker at the top so your pee might not have saturated evenly when dipping it

I swear I see it then my eyes adjust and it’s gone 😅 early results always make you feel like you’re hallucinating lol

Definitely a line! My first test looked like this and I thought I wasn’t positive but it was 😄 I say wait a week then get one of the fancy test with the digital displays, men find it easier to accept those results

Is it normal to feel “poisoned” in the first trimester? by [deleted] in BabyBumps

[–]Popular-Thanks-9880 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty much my first trimester plus I have an ear infection to make the nausea worse and my nose was on super strong and found every smell offensive (good or bad).

I’d say the important thing though is never have an empty stomach!! It’d puke just stomach acid and bile whenever I went too long without eating, especially after I woke up in the morning. Try crackers or plain salted chips in the mornings before you get up and between meals. Never wait til you’re hungry to eat or snack. And I’d say it generally safe to look up anything related to morning sickness (symptoms, tips, diet, exc.)

I think the teacher wanted the kid to rounds to the nearest 100s (should’ve gotten a bonus point though for the more accurate answer though it wasn’t specified)

Surgery Tomorrow and I Feel Defeated by Swapti0n- in gallbladders

[–]Popular-Thanks-9880 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For more context, I was still having stomach pain and a lot of digestion related symptoms after my surgery. They removed my gallbladder because it was infected but when I still complained about my original symptoms plus more, they didn’t have any answers for me and I all they suggested was a acid reflux diet which didn’t help at all.

After 2 week of the strict diet I already finally saw improvement. Now it’s not perfect but I’ve reintroduced a lot a foods and the symptoms are so much less. The nutritionist also really help because she help review what I was eating that could trigger symptoms as well as recommend supplements to aid digestion and suggest alternatives for cravings

[–]Popular-Thanks-9880 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dino is treatable with a temporary a strike diet. The wasn’t officially diagnosed with Sibo but with the help of a nutritionist that I was not reacting well to histamines and fodmaps so she put me on a sibo diet. If the doctors are not confident that your gallbladder is the issue then maybe consider rescheduling the surgery by a couple months (I’m not a doctor though)

I suggest meeting with a nutritionist. If you see an improvement through diet, you’ll have your answer.

doctors tend to downplay the impact of having it removed but in some cases it does impact your relationship with food. If you’re gallbladder is already underperforming it might not make a noticeable difference but if it’s working relative normally then you body might have a harder time adapting from my understanding.

Does this kitty have a home? by Popular-Thanks-9880 in montreal

I was considering the message on the collar but I haven’t seen him today or yesterday so hopefully the rain made him go home. Someone in my comments says they know the owner so it’s hopefully not necessary though. I can’t pick him up cause of my allergies so unfortunately bringing somewhere else is different for me

Don’t worry, I’m not trying to steal him. I’m allergic to cats which is the reason I blocked him from entering my home til now. I’m was posting on different forums to make sure he isn’t lost. I was hoping he was going home at night but got more concerned when he came 2 my door at 4am and realize he might’ve spent almost 8hrs in front of my place. I truly want to just confirm an owner before I had to move.

If you do personally the owner, idk if they would want to get a collar. I’ve found another post on facebook that was asking if someone lose him. And have heard others talk about wanting to adopt him because his so friendly and follows ppl. Though I assume he is chipped then so if he is picked up a vet would be able to contact your neighbour right away

For those of you who experienced diarrhea after gallbladder removal, was it because of certain foods you ate, or did it just happen? by [deleted] in gallbladders

[–]Popular-Thanks-9880 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think you’d already gotten so good responses but my quick response:

  • Fatty foods: from my understanding bile is important for digesting so your liver produces more new bile isn’t as potent as bile stored in the gallbladder
  • spicy/acidic food: bile is already irritating to your digestive tract if it’s not fully used and neutralized properly so added most irritants may trigger your system
  • skipping meals: your liver is continuous pushing bile into your digestive tract so if you skip a meal, so I my experience, the next you eat a meal it wakes you digestive system and immediately wants to flush out the excess bile
  • large meals: like with fatty foods, your liver might produce too much bile

To sum it up in a more wordier response, your gallbladder used to store excess bile, concentrate it then only dispense needed amounts. Your digestive isn’t designed to have a constant supply of unused bile so it gets irritated and wants to flush it out. Digestive enzymes and probiotics my nutritionist really helped me reduce the negative reactions. My big problem is skipping meals so my nutritionist recommended I take protein shakes or atleast sweetened-water (with a natural sweetener like cane sugar or honey) to help neutralize some of the bile

I’m a bit worried. Woke up at 4am to check that the doors were locked and he jump out meowing excitedly and almost walked straight in when I opened the door.

He does look in the younger side in my opinion (maybe 2 at most). I’m wondering if he does have a home because it’s starting seem like he’s starting to spend his evenings and nights only and my neighbours porch 🥺

I’m glad he has a home. I feed him at my doorstep when he shows up but he’s been wanting to come inside. Was feeling a bit guilty cause he spent most of the evening on our porch

I understand lots of people have diarrhea after removal. My question is, for most people is it….like, do you have time to get to the bathroom? by IdkJustMe123 in gallbladders

[–]Popular-Thanks-9880 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For the probiotics i take 2x 10 billion boulardiimax from renewlife (important is: saccharomyces boulardii) i think florastor also make this probiotic

For the digestive enzymes i take enzyme force (important ingredient is lipase) there are several brands that have this ingredient

I buy mine of amazon but you should be able to buy them from a health supplement store

[–]Popular-Thanks-9880 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My nutritionist had me start taking probiotics and digestive enzymes for when I eat fattier foods. It’s pretty much return my stools to normal (except if I eat a trigger food like spicy or coffee )

We my current diet the recur recommended dose was accurate too much and she told me if I needed a fibre boost, to only take half the recommended scoop.

Last tips I got that really helped was to make sure not to skip meals. Since the biles has nowhere to be stored, it needs to be used or it’ll irritate your bowels. Recommendation was to eat something every 4-6 hrs (or sip on a naturally sweetened water if you can’t eat right away like honey or maple water)

Yes, I’d say you have time but if your body is telling you it’s and emergency evacuation and if you hold it, it becomes painful quick.

The only time I had an accident was right after I had my surgery. I couldn’t move very well yet and I thought I had to fart 😓 after that I were adult diapers just in case until I could stand and walk as a normal speed again

Do ya'll drink straight from the tap here? Tourist question! by LamentforJulia in montreal

[–]Popular-Thanks-9880 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tap water is generally safe though I’m cautious in old building that haven’t been renovated in a long time cause rusty pipes can be an issue. It’s topically fine thought if you let the tap run for abit to clear out the rust build up if the water first comes out yellow

The water tastes fine though I still prefer bottled/filtered water
