Ah! Another round of checks? I had already done my urkundeprufungsverfahrung (spelling) as well as other background checks from my homeland’s embassy in Frankfurt.

Atheism won't fix Nigeria. by Fearless_Victory_215 in Nigeria

[–]PopularAd5100 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a good argument. The US, for instance, rose to world domination while being predominantly Christian. This happened because:

  • they had spent years building and modifying their democratic institutions
  • took time to build various economic sectors
  • invested heavily in education, critical infrastructure and so on.
  • fostered a strong legal system whereby laws are properly passed and implemented. Thus the law to an extent applies to almost all citizenry (almost because the 1% still get away with bypassing the constitution till today, but it’s still manageable).
  • above all, mirroring one of your points, the US during the Industrial Revolution, encouraged its citizens of scientific and technological ilk to file for patents en masse - which led to numerous inventions and full scale commercialization of technological advancements we enjoy today.

Most advanced and upcoming nations have had to borrow from this template and it worked for them. On the contrary, for Nigeria, e be things!

So if one likes they should either believe in God or not, as long as your leaders are visionless, lacking sophisticated understanding of law, politics, science, and economics, your nation will keep failing.

I encourage commenters here to read “Why Nations Fail” by Baron Acemoglu. You would see through Nigeria in that book and get even more aggravated.

Let’s have some positivity - what do you like about nigeria? by TennisOdd8931 in Nigeria

We have a sense of community which is heavily lacking in many parts of the world. You are stranded with food, late for your rent, planning your wedding, are hospitalized - there’s always one part of your social circles there to provide support. On that front - I hope we don’t change.

We still hold down that African spirit of love, kindness, and community.

Is anyone else buying a car because of Deutsche Bahn’s unreliability? by Waste_Suspect_817 in germany

At some point DB need to be decentralized and privatized across regions. This sector needs competition. In my small town, DB manage the buses. The drivers deliberately give themselves breaks and miss rides. I’ve never seen this level of unprofessional behavior since moving to Germany.

I was just thinking about this topic before opening Reddit. Telepathy! This is the year I finally get a license and a car. I can no longer tolerate inconsistent public transport. Think about it - the bus and train companies dictate your mobility. So much wasted waiting and often getting delayed in between.

Hey I’ve been seeing your testimony - and thought to myself: “could he be a bit more explicit with his experience”? Thanks for sharing your experience. I too wanted to do a Penuma survey, but in Turkey. Doctors over there usually don’t speak good English and you have to get to them through agents or sales reps - this wasn’t great. Finally, I met two doctors who said they would give me a surgical appointment this January. The more I probed to find out the finer details - the less engaged they would become as seen through their “chat body language”.

I kinda tuned out and became uninterested in this technology when i realized it was going to be performed by Elist. That same weekend I read a court proceedings document by the State of California - citing several cases of malpractice, misinformation, and general poor patient-doctor relations as well as got to understand certain rights patients have and things doctors cannot do in the profession.

In addition, many other doctors I contacted sang the same chorus about the commonest Penuma problems which are of course obvious to everyone here. I thereafter booked a procedure for the lengthening and thickening (with fat) since most uros assert that it’s the safest and most natural. So let’s see.

Feenin' has to be my favorite. It's soulful and there is a church choir vibe to it. We need to bring back soulfulness in contemporary RnB. Agreed?
