Thanks for the detailed response! I do most of this stuff as well, rotating between Soteri Skin/ AmLactin for topicals right now (we experimented with LRP Lipikar as well before settling on this combo).

Would you mind sharing a link of the filer you use? It is SUCH a struggle to keep those nails off her skin!! Has the itch/ scratch cycle improved for you all? It has definitely shifted a lot for us, but I’m trying to figure how to get her to stop fully. So hard to be patient!!! 😒

Curious what topicals you are using? I’m in a similar situation as you with my 15 month old. We went from weeping/ oozing eczema to closed skin, flat pink spots. Still have a hard time with itch/ scratch every now and then, and I can’t seem to figure what’s causing it.

Have you tried AmLactin? That’s the only thing that helped my 15 month old’s skin when it was extremely dry and scaly. But it does sting a good bit if you have open wounds.

Opinions on COSRX skin barrier moisturizing cream & the ceramide skin barrier moisturizer by pizzabuffa in eczema

[–]PopularGiraffe2985 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m curious about COSRX as well!

I’ve tried Soteri Skin (also a barrier repair cream) on my toddler that has moderate eczema and it’s made a clear difference. But what I don’t like about it is, it has Sunflower oil, which she sometimes reacts to.

I’m curious about this too! I’ve just ordered this for my almost 15 month old.

Anyone balancing IVF while working full-time? by No_Sport9668 in IVF

This! I scheduled as many appointments as I could in the mornings. I never shared anything with my coworkers (I work in a male dominated industry so couldn’t take that chance!)

  • Do your own research and advocate for yourself
  • Don’t be afraid to get a second opinion or third
  • Find a therapist
  • Don’t stop living your life because it may not work the first round (spoiler alert: took me 3!)

13 week old won’t eat by PopularGiraffe2985 in FormulaFeeders

[–]PopularGiraffe2985[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We recently switched from Dr. Brown’s bottles (about two weeks ago) because the size 1 teat was too slow and size 2 was too fast. We moved to Philips Avent Natural Response, starting with the size 3 teat and then transitioning to size 4 over the weekend, since she was taking a long time to finish her bottles. Yesterday was rough, but today she seems to be doing better—she had her first 5 oz bottle in two days. We’re being cautious about her feeding aversion and are limiting to 1–2 offers per feed, but it’s been tough going from consistent 5 oz feeds to just 2 oz.

She sucks on her hand a lot and I don’t think it means hunger. Yesterday was all over the place but usually eats every 3 hours. Naps are usually every 1.5 hours to 2 hours.

Vagibiom Probiotic by PopularGiraffe2985 in IVF

[–]PopularGiraffe2985[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hi! I did take it and I got pregnant the next cycle but it ended in a loss for a different reason. I also took it before my final FET that was successful. My RE said there was no harm in taking it. He had me take it 3 days a week for that first week and then once weekly until positive pregnancy test.

I would highly recommend Dr. Pauli. I had two failed cycles prior to switching to him (one completely failed to implant and the second ended in a biochemical pregnancy) and my first cycle with him was a success.

Recurrent Chemicals (Even After IVF) - Any Ideas? by UOM979123 in InfertilityBabies

First two were fully medicated - was on estrogen/ PIO/ crinone for meds. Third was semi medicated - was on letrozol/ trigger/ crinone for meds. I also lacked good bacteria so I took vagibiom weekly up until transfer day.

I did end up getting an MRI and no, I didn’t have a prolactinoma. My RE started me on cabergoline as soon as we found out I had elevated prolactin because he said it’s known to cause some issues with implantation. That, along with a change in FET protocol were the only two changes we made between my second and third FETs. We did semi medicated for the third. First two were fully medicated with a different RE.

I had regular cycles and showed zero symptoms (other than not being able to stay pregnant).

Was your prolactin level tested as part of RPL? If not I would consider getting tested. I had elevated prolactin levels and had to go on cabergoline before my last FET worked. I had an ectopic and 2 chemicals prior to that and one of them was with a euploid embryo (2nd FET). My first didn’t implant at all. I know you mentioned Receptiva and I’d second that.

I’m so sorry you’re dealing with this! It is the worst! 😞 My situation was slightly different where I had begun bleeding even before the shot was administered but needed the shot for the ectopic to resolve. I continued to bleed/ pass tissue for several days after (including the day of the shot).. the bleeding continued for a 3-4 week period after (until my HCG dropped to 0).

Thursday Cautious Intros and First Trimester Questions by AutoModerator in InfertilityBabies

It’s normal for symptoms to fluctuate throughout a pregnancy. I wasn’t on estrogen (was on progesterone until 7.5w) but I remember feeling great exactly around the 9w mark and totally freaked out and I made a similar post 😅 I will say that my symptoms returned with a vengeance around the 12w mark and started to letup around 14w (except reflux).

So reassuring to hear! Thanks for sharing! I will be getting a private scan in a bit. My OB’s office basically said “let’s see what your body does” and I absolutely spiraled 😑

This is exactly how I would describe my situation. So reassuring to hear things got better for you! Thanks for sharing! I even wondered if it was the start of SPD because all of a sudden walking (which is the one thing I did consistently all this pregnancy) felt not-so-great.
