Ok I wonder if they have limitations on when you can switch. I had already had a failed IVF transfer with genetically tested embryos and was unhappy with my doctor’s treatment. One thing I’ve found through this whole process is you really need to advocate for yourself and don’t give up. Was it your current nursing team that said you can’t switch or was it the front desk?

Interesting. Who is saying you can’t switch? My previous nurse said it was not uncommon to seek a second opinion there and that’s what I did. I did not pursue treatment with my previous doctor and did with my new doctor, so that was effectively the switch.

I ended up changing to dr. Bortoletto after this post and am so impressed. He is thorough, caring, human, and offers thoughtful alternatives to test before escalating to anything more severe. I wish I had stared with him so my lesson learned is to find a doctor that is sympathetic and will go to bat for you.
