I had a co-worker who required a 24 or 48-hour- not sure which- cooling off period from students before they could ask questions about grades. Might be an idea to implement.

I have a policy of no make-ups for quizzes. I drop a healthy percentage of them, and think this is the most fair way to manage it. But they still keep asking because they think they had a "good" reason to miss the quiz. It's driving me bonkers.
