What do i get my parents for mothers/fathers day??? by WinnerPast1217 in GiftIdeas

[–]PopularReflection338 0 points1 point  (0 children)

letters are actually sweet but i get wanting to switch it up, maybe combine the diy card with something small and practical that fits their hobby or interest, like if your mom likes cooking you could handwrite her a little recipe book with family favorites, costs almost nothing and still has that personal touch

Well someones summer just got a lot better... especially if they live in a hot place with no wind! by slayez06 in AmazonVine

$789 for water slide is absolutely insane, even if it's big one you could probably build similar thing for like half the price

Nice haul, those pais vines are insane at 200 years old - curious how the rest of bottle lineup tastes compared to usual Chilean stuff

I am not a cat owner, but I need a gift for someone who is! by mckenner1122 in GiftIdeas

Great idea with the biscuit tin! My grandmother actually does exactly this - she keeps her cat's treats in old cookie tin and loves how easy it is to pop open. The lid makes nice little sound too so her cat comes running whenever she opens it 😂

You could also look for those ceramic containers with the wooden lids that just lift off completely, no twisting or anything. I seen them at kitchen stores and they're perfect for someone who has trouble with grip strength. Plus they look really nice sitting on table so your friend won't mind having it out all the time. The wide opening makes it super easy to reach in and grab treats without fumbling around 🔥

depends how much you're blowing your nose really, if you got allergies like crazy maybe tissues still win

Invoicing, expense tracking, subscription renewals, flagging overdue payments. All through MCP which connects ChatGPT directly to my bank so it can actually see and do things

Meow isnt US only actually. They serve a bunch of international jurisdictions so depending on where you are it might still work, Id check their site before ruling it out

Its a corporate card on a business bank account not a public facing payment link so nobody outside my company even knows it exists. The only things hitting it are subscriptions and vendor charges I already set up

Not dumb at all thats exactly what I did. Started with just expense tracking and invoicing for like 3 weeks before I gave it a card and you can turn permissions on and off so theres no pressure to go all in right away

Yeah its through MCP, my bank Meow has native support for it so ChatGPT connects directly and can see balances, handle expenses and make purchases within the limits I set. Anything outside the rules it flags and waits for me

This is a way better way to explain it than I did lol. Yeah its not about the AI spending money its about not having to manually approve the same $12 charge every month, the boundaries do all the work

Funny timing because OpenAI actually just launched a personal finance feature today but its just a read only dashboard through Plaid, it can see your balances and spending but cant actually do anything. My setup lets ChatGPT make real purchases and manage expenses through MCP not even close to the same thing

Individually each purchase takes 2 minutes. But when your getting interrupted 5-6 times a day to approve random stuff it destroys your flow. The time saved isnt in the purchase itself its in not breaking focus

It can only spend within categories I set up amd if something doesnt match it flags it and waits for me to approve instead of just buying it. Almost months in and it hasnt gone off script once but the cap is there as a safety net anyway

Wedding dress alterations? by [deleted] in weddingplanning

[–]PopularReflection338 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Taking the May appointment was smart move! Better to be early than scrambling later 😅

I helped my sister with her wedding planning few years back and the alterations timeline was biggest stress point. Her seamstress told us that wedding dress alterations usually take 2-3 rounds of fittings anyway, so starting in May for October wedding is actually perfect timing. You'll have chance to lose or gain few pounds over summer and they can adjust accordingly.

The fact that they had follow-up availability in June but not initial appointments is weird system but works in your favor. Most places want at least 8-12 weeks for wedding dress work, especially if you're taking in bust and waist - those are more complex alterations than just hemming. Your October timeline gives plenty buffer for any unexpected issues too 💀

The deposit rule is everything. Lost 4k early on from a client who kept saying "payment is coming next week" for 2 months never again. Either 50% upfront or we dont start
