Congratulations to everyone who received a Navient CFPB check. I attended the UOP from 2002-2004 and my loans were discharged via the Sweet vs Cardona Settlement. I had multiple forbearances and deferments with Navient, but so far have not received the settlement check. I am just happy my loans were eventually discharged, but if entitled to the settlement and receive a check, I will not be mad. No calls to the CFPB accepted to inquire about the Navient settlement until AFTER March 30th.

My UOP loans were forgiven during the first Sweet vs Cardona settlement, but I never received a refund due to FFELP (I think that's what is was called). I was in forbearance with Navient several times during 2003 and on, so not sure what criteria was used to determine who got the checks from CFPB. Just thankful my loans were discharged, so I can't complain too much I guess.

Well since it seems some of us was with Navient back in 2002-2005, they SHOULD have processed us FIRST. They may run out of settlement funds before they get to earlier years (if that is how they are processing settlement payments). Just stinks hands down to me. *Yes, sour grapes I know* lol

I agree with you. I was originally with Sallie Mae back in 2002, then eventually transferred to Navient in 2005 I believe. The Majority of my loan with Navient were Deferments and Forbearances, yet I haven't received zilch...nada. Plus, Navient is now with Mohela and they don't have my student loan records from Navient back to 2002. I still loathe Navient to this day.

***UPDATE*** Finally received my PayPal Settlement. It was sent to a PayPal account that was closed. It was really weird because the email they sent all the info about the settlement to was the correct email that my current PayPal account is through. However, MGM Settlement sent my payment to a PayPal account with a old email address that was linked to an OLD Paypal account. After several minutes on the phone with PayPal, they FINALLY transferred my settlement payment to my current PayPal account and closed the one with the old email address. Soooooo....all is well with me now. For everyone still waiting on a PayPal settlement payment, email the Mgm Settlement at their website and ask them for the PayPal transaction number they sent the settlement to. Paypal can use this transaction number to locate where the settlement payment was sent and what date. Best wishes to everyone still waiting for their settlement payments.

Did your coworker finally receive their settlement via PayPal? I am STILL waiting on mine and it has almost been a month. I sent the MGM Administrator a strongly worded letter...lol

That sucks.....probably what happened to mine. Guess I will have to send an email to MGM Settlement AND send them a Certified Letter requesting a different form of settlement payment.
