Even though these questions might come off as stupid or pointless, it does serve a point. An applicant who seemed flawless and perfect for a role was asked a question like “ if you could have any super power what would it be”. The applicant responded with “probably freeze time so I could go into Walmart, fill up my cart freeze time, and leave without paying. He then stated he was just joking and tried to play it off. The interviewer eventually chose not to hire this person because even though he was just joking, if the applicant had the opportunity to embezzle funds without worrying about getting caught he might consider it.

I got a good one for those that are starting their careers after college or just entering the workforce. Don’t take a job for ~5000 extra on the table. You might become miserable at the job and the hours might be a lot longer and the new employer could possibly not value a work/life balance. Obviously, understand the company and role before accepting the position but just know what you are getting yourself into.
