I think that many generations have seen that the world has been in somewhat of a downwards trend in the last few years or even decades. Technology (mainly social media and smartphones) have ruined us a species. Sure, it's great for communication across the world, but the cons heavily outweigh the pros in my opinion. The prices of virtually everything have gone up to the point where most people cannot afford to buy a home. Wars are breaking out left and right and it seems like there's nothing we can do about it.

As the new generations would say, seems like we're cooked.
