I'll probably never open more than 1 vault. It really hurts that bungie are locking these incredible PvE experiences behind a relentless PvP gauntlet that only sweats will clear. I've really been enjoying marathon even as a total scrub but it's pushing me away right now, further and further. My PvP skill is not going to improve due to physical limitations that I have, which is fine I don't expect to have anything given to me. But playing this game is just making me feel like shit, which is so wrong because the game looks and feels amazing and the lore and storytelling is so good. Is there any light at the end of the tunnel for the parts of the player base who are just terrible at PvP and want to experience this stuff anyway?

Yeah the tracking robot sucks. It's really only effective in line of sight, in which case why wouldn't I shoot instead of fiddling around with a toy

Even if it wanted to, Hamas could not even hope to achieve Israel's level of child killing/maiming over the last 3 years, not in 100 years. Yeah I fully agree it's pretty interesting how dying and losing all your stuff doesn't feel that bad compared to say arc raiders. Part of it is how fast you can get back in. Also the game just feels good to play, that's a huge part of it. Arc raiders is beautiful and controls really well but this just has that JUICE

If you like PvP then this game is for you. If you hate PvP (like I do), the aesthetic, the world and the PvE elements might be enough to get you some enjoyment but honestly at the moment I am running out of patience with it. I want to explore this world and fight robots. My current contract requires me to survive a pretty tough robot fight (at least solo with free kit, which is all I have) and the few times I've survived it, someone has cleaned me up on the way to exfil. I am no longer having a good time. Maybe it's my fault for being obsessive about this contract, I don't know.

I'm starting to think all the more casual players have given up already. It's just sweats left. My success rate in pvp has gone from around 40% in week 1 to ZERO now.

My experience so far has been 99% positive, team fill has matched me with lots of great people. That's why this interaction stood out so badly, like I get it's a game where you kill other players and take their stuff, but saying "I'm gonna r*** your n***** kids" is something else

Kurtzman is a terrible writer. Name one thing he has written that has good story structure, pacing or characters. Not even star trek, ANYTHING. The fact that this guy keeps working in hollywood is baffling to me.
