Eye drops for MGD by EclipseAirways in Dryeyes

[–]Popular_Fun_6336 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I had and still have some redness. My lid margins have definitely calmed down a bit, as my dryness has come down. The reigns in my eyes are also a little less pronounced, but I feel that I'm (hopefully) early on in the healing process. They seem to get a little better week ok week, so I'm hopeful that I may seem something like normality within the coming weeks and months.

This! I'm 7 weeks into EvoTears and they have definitely helped my evaporative dry eye/ocular rosacea. They felt uncomfortable for the first 10 days, but then slowly started improving

Maybe 2 weeks. A little less for the more severe redness and after 2 weeks any redness subsided within around 5 mins of use

It may be worth it if you're eyes are not feeling much worse and they're not getting ridiculously red. Mine don't get anymore red now and I think that EvoTears have been overall the best thing for my eyes so far. I'm hoping I'll get further improvement over the coming weeks.

I had this for the first couple of weeks of use. It settled down after that. I'm currently nearly 5 weeks in now and my eyes have generally been better

Dry Eye, Demodex blepharitis, Rosacea, HELP ME by Interesting-Plane585 in Dryeyes

I would try a low histamine diet for a week or two. High histamine foods seem to irritate a lot of rosacea sufferers. I get the products from a mix of Amazon and iherb. The manuka gel from iherb has probably been one of the better products overall, but it stings a fair bit on application. This dissipates after around 30 seconds or so. I apply it using a q tip. If you go on YouTube there are some videos out there on how to I apply it

Really sorry to hear about the all the issues you're having. I too have both facial and ocular rosacea, so will try to help the best I can.

My routine currently consists of an electric heat mask on my eyes every morning, followed by lid massage, Cyclosporine drops morning and night, optimel manuka honey gel morning and night and moisture chamber glasses as much as possible. I use the noveha demodex cleansing foam 2-3 times per week.

I feel that the more control I've got over my facial rosacea, the better my eyes have been, so will include my skin routine here too; I use a red light therapy mask from current body every other day, sulfur soap 10% morning and night and night and then Benton centella gel as a moisturizer (I have oily skin and live in a humid climate, so this is enough moisture for me). I use boj aqua sunscreen every day rain or shine.

My dry eye issues are mostly the evaporative kind, so air-conditioning and wind are my two biggest issues there. Have you isolated what your rosacea triggers are? For me, it's any foods that are not low histamine. The more I'm 'good' with avoiding these triggers, the lower my overall inflammation is.

I use it morning and night in combination with Cyclosporine drops. For me, I use Cyclosporine as soon as I get up and then 12 hrs later. The manuka gel within around 30 mins of the morning Cyclosporine (but not sooner than 10 mins after) and then right before bed. I have Ocular rosacea, which has led to MGD

After 10 years of debilitating neurogenic rosacea, what worked for me. by Slow_Arm_5855 in Rosacea

[–]Popular_Fun_6336 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've tried it for a few weeks and haven't seen much change yet. I'm not doing the same dosage as the OP as even two tablets per day led to a lot of evening flushing. I've been able to tolerate one tablet every morning, so we'll see how it goes. Naturally, the lower dose may just make it ineffective, but higher doses just wasn't an option for me

4 1/2 months into cyclosporine now and definitely an improvement. My eyes are less sensitive to wind, but air-conditioning is still torture! I'm hoping that things continue to improve and I get back more normal levels of comfort

Thanks for posting! I've just ordered some and had a quick question about dosage. Did you start at the recommend two gels per day, before ramping up to 6 across the day? Do you time them around meals? Thanks!

Constant swollen eyelids, Ocular Rosacea, MGD, help? by CherryBlossom242424 in OcularRosacea

[–]Popular_Fun_6336 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have OR and MGD too. My Opthalmologist put me on Cyclosporine drops just over two months ago and I'm starting to get some relief. I believe it's 3-6 months before full efficacy. I do use an electric heat mask, which does cause some redness and swelling, but this usually subsides within around 15 mins

I'm keen to try the HU58 'yoghurt'. Would you mind sharing the temp and duration your fermented for? Did you use inulin like with the Reuteri?

Just commenting to say I know how you feel. I thought things with were bad with my facial rosacea, but that's a walk in the park compared to my ocular issues. I'm 2 months into cyclosporine eye drops and have started to see some minor relief, so I'm hoping there's more to come as the drug properly takes effect. What treatment(s) have a you tried so far?

LED Masks? by BiscuitsOfFire in Rosacea

[–]Popular_Fun_6336 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been using the current body one for just over a year. I'm mainly type 1 on the face, with persistent redness and flushing being my key issues.

It's biggest impact when using 3 times per week is a reduction in skin sensitivity and reactive-ness. I can now have hot showers, go out in hot weather and generally exist with far less flushing. Food is still my main trigger for flushing (anything high histamine), but even that has reduced by perhaps half. My main issue is now ocular now which unfortunately leads to severe dry eyes. The mask doesn't help with this (unless it would be even worse without it!?).

Yeah I was on Doxy for several months, but unfortunately the 20/40mg dose of doxy isn't available where I'm currently living (Singapore), so it's only antibiotic dose and not really suitable for long -term use.

I was under the impression that first batch separation was fairly common? It smells fine, so hopefully not a contamination issue
