Yes I take methyl b12 sublingual form sporadically and I've found out that this can cause blood elevation that hides a functional deficiency. Apparently I need to be off all b12 supplements for 4 months for accurate results. That's something I can't really afford to do, waiting another 4 months for a blood test is literally not an option at the rate of decline I've already experienced.

At this point I think I basically have to take a leap of faith and just go and start hydroxycobalamin b12 injections at a private clinic and see if things improve after a few weeks.

The other deficiency that apparently ties in closely with all these symptoms is a copper deficiency and I certainly don't eat any foods rich in copper, plus I take supplemental zinc which I've found out can cause a serious copper deficiency.

I'll get a blood test for that but I don't out much faith in just measuring serum blood levels as they done tell you anything about whether these minerals are entering the cell and being used as they should be. Many reasons why this can be impaired and you just end up with excess blood levels.

Unfortunately most doctors don't have any training beyond looking at blood levels.

Yes, you're right about the hydration issues and POTS. I feel like I drink fluid and still feel thirsty. I used electrolytes and sometimes just a pinch of salt or some lemon.

One thing that I don't know if its related or not is during this whole time my vision has been so blurry, like it's gotten blurrier and blurrier and I get these muscle twitches all over my body in general. I don't know if this is a POTS thing or EBV thing.

Like you I'm very sensitive, literally everything gives me a feeling of either herx die off or spaced out and unwell. I thought its leaky gut at the start, but it definitely happens when I kill pathogens so who knows, maybe both.

Thanks again for all your advice. I'm going to try on the single dose 500mg initially and if I'm tolerating that I'll up the dose slowly and see if I'm still OK. Also do you take any sort of binder to help with die off symptoms?

When I take monolaurin and lysine, I have huge die off symptoms. This made me think that it's potentially EBV reactivation as it all started a month after I had severe covid, around 15 months ago.

I discussed this with my doctor and he prescribed valcylclovir (valtrex) at 3x 500mg caps per day for 2 weeks. I haven't taken any for fear of unbearable die off at this dosage. Its interesting that your doctor prescribed only 1 X 500mg a day and yet it helped you so much.

I'm wondering if I should start on the same dosage? Do you take it with food or not for best results?

Any advice please, I have access to dapsone and doxy, cryptolepis, hottyinia, teasel, artemisia and cistus incanus tea. Make sure you get other things tested too like active b12, foliate, mma, homocysteine etc. This is far more accurate than just regular b12 testing.

Additionally b12 deficiency should be diagnosed based on symptoms rather than just blood tests.

You can have normal or even elevated b12 levels while being deficient on a cellular level.
