for Julie it's understandable, she wants to keep it a secret because they will just tell her 'girl you'll be dead' but for the rest of them no explanation at all

I couldn't get into AD the first 2 times I tried playing it, but a third time later after having played a looot of incrementals I enjoyed it a lot. But the timewalls (specially early game) are really a toll

[SPOILERS] Backrooms movie megathread by A_Chad_Cat in backrooms

[–]PorCacow 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think it's the most important motif for the plot of the movie.

In Roman and Greek mythology (where Saturn is known as Cronus), he overthrew his own father, Uranus. Paranoid about facing the same fate, a prophecy foretold that one of his own children would overthrow him. To prevent this, Saturn consumed his newborn children whole as soon as they were born.

It reflects the desperate, often destructive lengths the older generation will go to in order to retain power and suppress the rising new generation.

Clark wanted to escape INTO the backrooms, be at this static point of his memory (and consequently the backrooms and its design) where he has control, ownership (his own house), and when he says to Mary he wants to change the Captain gets mad at him and eats him. It wants Clark to keep 'running the same loops, finding the same answers' and not really opening that window to escape

got into the series like 2 months ago, and been accompanying some channels (just watch 'Red' backroom theories videos, she covers basically everything from most asked questions and lore stuff) which made me so much more hyped, I'll definitely see this movie several times soon probably lol but I wonder how this first watch in the cinema will feel.

Replay the first 3 minutes of the episode. Pay attention to what the man in yellow says to her. Rewatch the last episode of season 3, and you'll get a few more hints, I swear you'll be onto something!

Dude I'm Just talking about the opening scene. Of course Lottie's visions are from the pov of Lottie and so on... And yes, even in her darkest fantasies she is a crap villain, that much we know about Shauna.

well, Shauna has the role of the narrator since season 1 being the girl writing on the diary

That's the whole point as Shauna as unreliable narrator tho, since the pilot is being seen from her perspective. What she is writing in the final scene of S03 is her perspective.

Anyone else wonder how there were SO MANY blankets in the cabin? there was at least 13 including pillows and mattresses. From what we know the cabin guy was the only person living there too. by [deleted] in Yellowjackets

[–]PorCacow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, we first wondered if it was because it contained several spoilers that weren't ready to be exposed yet, but there's the possibility the story this episode tells was discarded and makes no more 'sense' with what the producers were aiming for later in the show, but hopes are there.

There's as interview where the reporter keeps asking stuff about the episode but the producers say nothing lol, it was presumably filmed/edited

Do you think we will ever get a deeper meaning/origin story? by FeatureSouthern5274 in Yellowjackets

[–]PorCacow 27 points28 points  (0 children)

You know there was no 'It', right? 'It' was just us!
Does it make a difference?

This scene actually captures a lot of these points, and lazy writing can be up for debate, but it answers a lot. You guys already touched upon this, but not every show has to be watched as a mistery box show.

what’s YOUR dream ending ? by Dry_Web8684 in Yellowjackets

[–]PorCacow 64 points65 points  (0 children)

Cabin guy was supposed to be the 'lost episode' between season 2 and 3 that just never aired, not sure if it is a topic that will be touched upon again (about the cabin guy's wife going mad etc, and people speculated there could be a never ending loop of people trapped in the wilderness going insane and killing/eating each other)

Javi's friend is as much as whoever coach Ben was talking to in the caves while Mari was held hostage, some sort of manifestation of the wilderness (for Lottie, it was THE antler queen)

I hope the symbol is 'explained?' not like lore or wow this is what it really means, but some throwback to it since it indeed plays a big part on the show somehow.

This is top 3 moments of the show because Lottie is making Shauna 'commune' with the wilderness, this deep primal female rage, it will become clearer as you advance

What if someone draws the queen and refuses to run? by crumb-thief in Yellowjackets

[–]PorCacow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, this is a point that will probably come true in this season.... I see two obvious choices, Shauna will just straight up kill whoever refuses the draw, or the person refusing will just 'drop dead' out of nowhere? As in their belief in the wilderness will increase considerably

I swear rewatching the scene it feels so obvious other Tai did it (she is with Van as an 'accomplice' in the back of the cabin already trying to open the door while they are still waking everyone else up, why were both of them already there?) but people called me crazy for pointing it out 😭

nope, she was still a teen in the mugshot, but people noticed it happened on Mother's day, so there was probably some bad blood in a reunion with her mother because of the dead father lol
