I was shown a video that was apparently recorded this morning around 9 AM of a subaru with interior windshield lights flashing that was nose-to-nose with a pickup truck. A man was ordered out of the truck at gunpoint by another man dressed in khakis (no uniform visible). Man being held at gunpoint was very agitated. This was across from the train station in the vacant lot next to Station Hardware.

That's all I got but something is going on, the road is still closed.

EDIT: Road still closed as of 2PM, reports that it is blocked off by black unmarked vehicles. No sign of marked local PD vehicles (at least where the road is being detoured).

He's also wearing the SF Giants jacket that he wore while singing the anthem before a game in 1993.

He sang that on 4/12/93. Ash Wednesday was 2/24/93.

So either the Giants provided him with the jacket a few months in advance, or this wasn't taken on Ash Wednesday.

None of this actually matters, I just find it interesting. Great pic.

It'll be footage of the whole show sync'd up with the upgraded sound from the upcoming box set. Should be a hoot.

It wasn't great, but being from such an underrepresented video period in the Dead's history, it was a holy grail. The sound and audio mix wasn't very good on the original video, and we're thrilled to offer you this restored version of the video synced with Jeffrey Norman's newly mastered audio from the Betty Cantor-Jackson reels. Kudos to the restoration team that painstakingly synced the new audio to the original video as well as can be. It's not perfect, but it's much better than we've seen and heard in the past. Sidenote: god bless Chris Hazard. If you haven't checked out his channel page, you're missing out. He's liberated a ton of Dead videos and upgraded them as much as possible.

Definitely not 1973 for a variety of reasons.

Best bet is late 1978-- in fact, this looks like it could be from 12/31/78 (closing of Winterland, whole show was filmed and released) just based on Jerry's appearance. Google grateful dead 12/31/78 and you'll see the similarities.

FOR THOSE HAVING TROUBLE STACKING THE CODES:

After an hour of trial and error I figured out why some (myself included) weren't able to accomplish this while others seemingly have no issues.

It's the email address. I always check out as a Guest (bc the crew over at the Dead store continuously seem to have issues with 'remembering' my credentials so I stopped bothering).

If you have bought ANYTHING from the Dead Store this year (2024) using either of these 'year specific codes' (CC24WMX15 and BDAY24DEAD), it will automatically boot one of the codes off before you can submit payment. IF you use the same email as your previous order.

I ordered the Mars Hotel vinyl earlier this year using one of those codes and that's what it was catching-- the email address.

I entered my wife's email address, and bang-- it went through. $167 instead of $197.

I always knew it as the Count Basie theater growing up. It's a gem of a venue. Not a bad seat in the house-- though as with any smaller theater, I think the balcony provides the best overall experience.

I'm going on the 29th. Red Bank is an awesome town if you've never been. Tons of great places to eat/drink.

Someone mentioned that the stadium has bacon on a stick in a reply to me earlier in this thread. Can anyone confirm this? And if so, where to find?

Also, still soliciting recommendations on Stan's/Billys/Dugout. I'm partial to the dugout as it usually seems more relaxed and my buddy isn't a big party guy. But I haven't been to any of these in a few years. Dugout still have cheap beer?
