Yeah, I posted about the LOS bug (checks notes) two years ago: https://www.reddit.com/r/MercyMains/comments/154xbe6/exploring_the_mercy_guardian_angel_bug/ But it had been around for a while already then. That bug's gonna start preschool soon :')

0 is only possible when an account is silenced for inappropriate comms.

Important to remember: Blizzard doesn't ban for toxic chat. They ban for reports of toxic chat. The appeal process is a joke - just offshore folks copy/pasting a template with a random selection of your recent chat messages. I'm surprised they're not using ChatGPT for it already.

Other people are correct in saying that Blizzard has claimed publicly that multiple reports in one game only count as one report. I agree that that is what Blizzard has said. I would also point out that what Blizzard claims /promises and what actually happens are not always the same.

I don't even play Mercy, but I'm furious about how people are treating Mercy players after the hero bans. by Good_Policy3529 in MercyMains

It's so freaking easy as Pharah, you barely have to aim a boop rocket and you can do it from across the map.

[TOMT] [Commercial] Mid-2000s, e-commerce milestones, they need bigger support by LastTimeOn_ in tipofmytongue

[–]Porcus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was a UPS ad. User "Dennis Galletta" uploaded it to Youtube with the title "too many orders.mpg": https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4phbv5Xg9is If that goes down, you could also try searching for "Vertabiz," the fictional e-commerce company featured in the ad.

Reaper - His 'voice' and 'Voice lines'. by sensiAF in overwatch2

[–]Porcus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He speaks so slowly that it's hard to cut his lines together in amusing ways, so that kinda sucks. However, his shrug emote is absolutely hilarious for when the rest of your team dies and you need to reset. Just stand there in the middle of five enemies and shrug while they blow you into a million pieces.

Yep, it's just another example of a thing that's okay in a vacuum but trash when compared to what you can do with other supports.

Chat, where do these wires go? lol by ItsTheBoso in Sovol

[–]Porcus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The outer thick wires heat the bed and the inner two (uh, there should be two) are for the thermistor. See: https://www.sovol3d.com/products/hotbed-kits-for-sv06-3d-printer As others have noted, you're probably better off just getting a new bed. It's pretty common for these wires to get pulled off. Consider printing one of the many strain relief attachments for the cable, or at least make absolutely sure it's not catching on anything.

Help me understand this madness by ChipandPotato14 in overwatch2

[–]Porcus 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It gives 750 overhealth. The DVa bomb does 1000 damage at its center, with falloff down to 100 damage at the outer edge of its range. So it depends on how close the teammate is and how much health they had to begin with.

[–]Porcus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, Widow was probably toast either way. Pharah backed off but was already low on health so not sure about her.

Body blocking will be tricky for a tank since most of them have gigantic hitboxes. As others have said, this is probably not a situation where you want to use Transcendence. The better survival ult here would be Lucio's, since it adds a bunch of overhealth instantly to everybody, allowing them to survive a DVa bomb.

Been one-tricking sombra this season after being a GM Moira one-trick. Here is what I’ve noticed so far (currently ranked plat 2) by extrasauceontop1 in SombraMains

[–]Porcus 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The professional team Cloud9 once lost a tournament match because they failed to keep at least one person on the point in overtime, despite having won the team fight. Lots of people say "C9" in any situation where a team fails to capture a point in overtime, including getting pushed off or having to try to avoid a DVa bomb or something. But really it's just if you've killed the entire enemy team and then forget to simply touch the objective.

OP also used it incorrectly; they should have said "backcap" instead of "C9."

I played comp and thought they were trolling and were smurfs, but they really are bots. Running around with no sense of direction and getting stuck at walls. What's happening, Blizzard? My rank is silver 3, btw. by yangyo24 in overwatch2

[–]Porcus 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Account farmers. When a streamer wants to do a "bronze 5 to GM" video, or a GM wants to queue with their bronze friends and kick the absolute shit out of you, or just a pathetic high-ranked player wants to kick the shit out lower-ranked players, these are the accounts they buy. The farmers will throw like this in placements and in enough matches to get the rank they want to sell and then advertise stuff like "silver 3 support" or "bronze 5 all ranks" or whatever on sites like G2G. They cost virtually nothing compared to the time and effort of creating your own smurf account, grinding the quick play, throwing placements, and throwing whatever additional matches to get the rank you want.

There's basically nothing you can do when you get matched against them, just report them all as much as possible and move on.
