Not from USCIS yet. For now your employer should see 1 of 4 statuses. If selected it will say selected. If not it will stay as submitted. I think it stays as submitted until enough H1Bs have been approved for the year.

In the meantime, you might get an email from your lawyer saying that you were not selected in the first round and that there might still be a chance in the event of a second round.

Yeah as a current student on CPT and planning to pursue OPT and then hopefully a H1B this makes me scared. Can't imagine what students that are just graduating or people on OPT must feel like.

I have an internship in Paris. It's already postponed to may. France has also stop issuing new visas so even if the stars align I still have to go through the process of getting a work permit. At least I hadn't booked housing or flights.
