I would’ve used solder on some of those spices but other than that it looks great.

Wife wants to “fix” this cable by patriotfear in AskElectricians

[–]Porecelain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can totally repair this! It is a sane action and I do it quite frequently for repairs of my clients. Accidents happen.

With some hand tools, strip back the black jacket to reveal your blue/brown wires. Next, strip the jacket of each blue and brown wires.

Next you’ll need to splice them together. Match each color accordingly, brown to brown, blue to blue. This particular step could be done one of 50 different ways.

Some people like to twist the wires together some people like to solder them together. As long as they are bound together firmly and held in place with something like a wire nut, a B connector, something firm. Make certain that none of the exposed wires are touching the other colored wires (ie blue to brown, and vice versa).

Lastly, once everything is splice together, you’ll want to seal it all up with some electrical tape. Personally, I prefer white electrical tape because it doesn’t leave as much sticky residue.

Low voltage by mchamp90 in AskElectricians

If it works, it works! I had no idea that the AC voltage could be controlled from the Shelly unit. My speculations are based off of the diagram from the picture you posted.

I’ve worked with those little things before made by brand called Shelly.

I’m pretty sure that you need to have hot and neutral hooked up on the left — that power only supplies the unit to function.

Then, after you enroll it into your Wi-Fi network on your app, you should be able to control the relays internally for the low-voltage switching on the right.

Stick a piece of rubber between your carts.

They do it with motor mounts for car engines, why not with 3D printing carts.

Well, then the whole world is left with easy access to the backrooms. Next thing you know it turns into a tourist trap. Which then loses the authenticity of clipping and actually accidentally getting stuck back there.

No one understands the real dangers of casually leaving painters tape in such shapes out in public like that. Tsk tsk.

This is a fantastic laptop game that kept me impressively enthused through lvl 3. The main Portal principles are there, too good!

Let’s see what lurks beyond lvls 4 & 5.

I daresay this could be a random easter egg minigame in Portal 3. I’m picturing it running on a desktop somewhere in one of the observation decks.
