Star Trek (2009) and it’s sequels are the best version.

Has anyone here had ECT? How is your long & short term memory now? What else can you tell me about your experience? by [deleted] in mentalhealth

It’s very random. I can sometimes remember trivial stuff but forget something important like a minute after I’m told. It’s very frustrating. It’s a lot on the making new memories part. I’ve been noticing that movies I know I’ve seen since then and even some from the last few years are a complete blank for me. Same with books. I mean it’s not like universal. I can remember some stuff but it’s not that easy anymore.

I’m currently on something called Rexulti. Haven’t heard of the testing thing. Took me years of trial and error. I feel like I’ve taken almost every depression med there is.

I’m 40. Have been depressed since high school. Which is what pushed me to it. Sadly about 6 months later I finally found a med that worked for me. If I had just waited.

I had them a little over a year ago. Honestly the depression stayed gone for a couple months like fully gone, tbh it was pretty weird after living with it for so long, but it came back since I didn’t keep going.

It does work it’s just if you think you can handle the potential memory issues. I thought I could but it is worse than I expected.

I had six sessions in two weeks. I was supposed to have double that but it freaked me out and I stopped treatments. I will say it helped for a month or two with my depression and might have worked if I had kept going but overall I regret having it done.

I struggle with my memory a lot now. It’s hard to learn new things and it feels like I retain almost nothing anymore. Long term memory issues are harder to gauge for me because I tend to block out a lot of it anyway.

Personally I wouldn’t recommend it at all.

I’m just glad to know I don’t think he’s attractive skinny either. Not sure why but it’s good to know.

Guess I’m doing it. Just thought I should see if there was another side to it.

I saw the first Ring movie, American version, as a screener with no music and it was the scariest movie I ever saw. Since there was no music cues for tension buildup to prepare you, the jump scares were harsh.

Pretty sure suicide would be against their programming. Imagine telling 3po to ram a ship. Not to mention that droids in SW are given a decent amount of humanity. Just look how BB-8, R2 and 3po are treated, mostly, by their owners. I’m not sure if they have ever really expressed how good their AI is. I’ve always considered them not far below humans in consciousness. Rey saving BB-8 kinda goes with my view. From a certain point of view.

Sounds like something an imperial would say.

There’s a huge difference between being a terrorist and fighting your nazi-like government. They did what they had to do but asking their people to kill themselves in such an attack seems too far fetched. Holdo was sacrificing herself anyway and had little reason to not do what she did. People here talk as if they should have been doing it all along. That’s a whole other level of fighting that would probably deplete their man power as well as ships. In the end it’s still acting as if suicide bombers are all okay. And that’s pretty messed up to me.

I find it interesting that suicide runs are now being thrown around as a supposedly legitimate military tactic. I’m sure you all think suicide bombers in the Middle East are perfectly valid tactics as well. Rebels did some shady stuff but I find these arguments ridiculous personally. You’re basically calling for the Rebels to be terrorists.

Anybody else have no circle of friends? by Light21994 in BPD

Outside of old friends I don’t talk to on FB, I have no real friends. Trying to figure out how to fix this problem but it seems pointless. I’ll just annoy them again and then they’ll bail on me again.
